In spite of loosing spleen few 5-6 years ago with progressive congestive heart failure and osteoarthritis, you lived a happy life for 15 years and 6 months. You fought all the odds in last 2 years where we thought you won’t survive and every time you surprised us.
We are grateful to look after you. RIP Millie.

HYPOTHYROIDISM IN DOGS

Jimbo, 12.5 half years young boy was presented to us on in December 2021 as immobile with multiple deep skin wounds. Jimbo weighed 54 kilo on the day. He was lethargic and was not able to make 2 steps. He was virtually lifted from car to consult room by 2 people.
Jimbo was diagnosed with severe HYPOTHYROIDISM on the day.
Treatment made unbelievable difference to Jimbo in 2-3 months. Jimbo lost 14 kilos in 12 months and has been maintaining his 40 kilos on scale.
Now it is hard to restrain him even to do a physical exam. Totally a new young man ready to go out every evening.😊😊😊😍😍😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

BLOOD TRANSFUSION AT CANNING VALE VET

DURGA JOINED THE TEAM TO SAVE A LIFE........
We had to a surgery on an anaemic dog today. We realised at a point that we can't escape from the blood transfusion. It was in the plan already and my motherly dog "Durga" was fully prepared to donate. So proud of my "Durga" today to donate 450 gram in minutes without moving her neck.
Name Durga comes from an ancient goddess who is known to save the lives and to render the help. Today this angel proved her name very well.
Durga also said hello to the owner of the dog who woke up alive after the surgery.
Durga is 50 kilo female Tibetan Mastiff who loves guarding my house and all other pets. I call her "Maan or Amma" means mother because of kind and caring nature of Durga with my other pets.
Today, this angle has proved her ancient name in modern age. Durga will appear again to save the life.

DOG AND CAT DENTAL DISEASES ....A PREVENTABLE RISK.

Based on my 27 years of experiences a s vet, I can confirm that dental plaque is one of the biggest risk for the well being of our pets.
Have a look on this photo. Dental plaque or tarter is just a BIOFILM that is well established housing system for bacteria to live and breed. Tarter can usually be removed by brushing the teeth regularly. Few human being have been successful in doing this.
Unfortunately, pets cannot brush their teeth and nor they allow owners to brush in correct way. Continuous accumulation of tarter/plaque results into hardening layer on teeth and we call it calculus. Calculus can not be removed by brushing the teeth.
Our most of pat patients comes with calculus (grade 2-3 dental problems).
NOW, the biggest problem is that millions of bacteria get access from these dental plaques to the gastrointestinal tract that may result in to intestinal problems like diarrhoea, bad farts, and further access to other organs like heart, kidneys, liver. Once bacteria adhere to a surface of the valve of the heart or on the wall of nephrons or on the cellular surface of liver or on any other organ they starts multiplying. It may take few weeks or few months to see other problems with these dogs or cats.
Plaques and calculus adjacent to gums causes physical destruction of gum line and injured gum lines get attacked by these bacteria very easily to cause gingivitis/periodontal diseases. These dogs are not able to eat well due to pain. Also their mouth turns into a colon/rectum due to massive number of bacteria. Therefore we always notice bad breath.

80 SQMs of covered area for all types of training to your puppies equipped with 20 chairs - Still lot of free room for you to hide and call your puppy.
Health and hygiene: This is brand new hospital with best flooring. Training area is not occupied by items that can be hazardous for puppies at any stage. EVERYTHING IS SUPER CLEAN. We disinfect floor before puppy school.
