After the tireless work of emergency services, volunteers and support agencies the fire was reported to be contained but not controlled yesterday afternoon.

The road closures around LAPR have been removed and all roads are now open.

This means we are now in a position to reopen from 9am this morning.

Please use Neaves Rd/Dempster Place as Coogee Road still borders the Watch and Act zone.

We are still without internet and phone lines so please be patient as we us Messenger and emails from mobile phones. We are aware that some customers have not received messages we have sent.

Thank you once again for all of your support, for being so understanding when we have to cancel bookings or cut your booking short and a big shout out to our LAPR team who were alongside us the whole time caring for your animals.

Good morning

All are safe at LAPR and the pets we have on site are loving the extra attention they are getting.

During the last three days have we have been overwhelmed by the kind words and offers of support from customers and friends

Your understanding and patience has made the situation easier and we ask for that to continue a little while longer.

With the current road closures in place LAPR cannot be accessed. As such, we are unable to accept current bookings.

Please do not attempt to access the area, it poses a risk to yourself and others.

We are continually monitoring advice issued by DFES and if things change we will update our FB page.

If you are due to collect your pet please contact us by Messenger as our phones are not working.

As at 4pm we are still in the Watch and Act zone on the border of the Emergency zone.
The pets that remain on site are safe and being cared for by our amazing team.
As part of our fire plan and until conditions improve we will not be accepting animals into our care.
We know the causes problems for customers and we apologise for the inconvenience but it would be irresponsible of us to bring animals into a fire zone.
Evacuating animals is not an easy task and our priority are your pets.
We are currently contacting customers who have upcoming bookings.
Please bear with us through these challenging times and we will provide updates as often as possible.

We are monitoring the fire in Mariginiup and Jandabup and still have our fire plan in place.
We lost NBN overnight and with it our land line. Please use Messemger to contact us.
We will be open from 8am if anyone would like to collect their pets.
Whilst we are no longer in the Emergency warning zone things are still very unpredictable and can change at any moment.
It was a long night and many of you will have seen the news coverage. All the volunteers and emergency services did an amazing job and continue to do so. We are incredibly thankful for their efforts.

Found tonight at approx 9pm running on Marmion Avenue between Tamala Park and Anchorage Drive South (Clarkson).
Evidence of tumours and possible recent surgery.
