Morgan has been waiting for his forever home for over 500 days! 🤯

This ultra handsome 2 year old Staffy x Kelpie has spent a decent amount of time in foster and has absolutely amazing feedback. This active young boy loves to run and is looking for a home with experienced owners. Morgs needs a family that is dedicated to his ongoing training and will provide him with lots of enrichment and playtime! He could live with teenagers (16+) pending a meet. 🥰

In his foster home, Morgan was regularly socialised at the dog park and beach. He enjoys making dog friends and will benefit from making well-matched dog friends who understand his silly playstyle. He could even live with a doggy sibling who will match his energy! 🐾

Two of Zuki's puppies are still available for adoption! 💙

These super cute kelpie x babies will likely be medium to large in size as we aren't quite sure of dad's breed. Swipe to the end to see a photo of their gorgeous mumma! There are two male pups still available. They are a bit more nervous so would benefit from living with a confident doggy sibling and could live with well-mannered older children (10+).

Bamboo wants to know if you'll be his Valentine 🥹💘

This sensitive 6.5 year old American Staffy boy is looking for a love to call his own! He can be a little bit shy initially but warms up quickly and loves giving lots of kisses. 💋

A calm home environment with gentle, experienced owners who will help him to build up his confidence would be best for this lover boy. He could make a good match with respectful older kids (10+). 🥰

Bamboo is great with other dogs and would love to go home with a doggy sibling to help bring him out of his shell. Doggy walking friends to go for strolls with would also be a big plus! 🐾

Pretty girl Kora is looking for her perfect home! 🥰

This 4 year old medium mixed breed has been an absolute gem in her foster home and they absolutely adore her! She is so polite meeting new people and is on foster with two children. She could go home with polite, dog savvy kids (8+). 💖

Kora is a very smart girl and already knows some basic obedience. She has a lot of potential to learn lots of tricks so a family that is dedicated to her training is a must. She is a very placid girl and hasn't been fussed by any loud noises in her foster home.

Kora has tested well with other dogs at the refuge and doesn't seem fussed by them whilst out on her walks in foster. She isn't overly interested in making dog friends but could make polite, well-matched walking pals that will respect her aloof nature. 🐾

We are so grateful to have been selected once again as one of the lucky rescues receiving funding to save dogs this month as part of the SavourLife and Petbarn Rescue Month! 🥳🐾

Our first dog of rescue month is gorgeous 4 year old Jock! This super lovely staffy boy was surrendered into our care through no fault of his own. Poor Jock was hit by a car only 3 months ago and has now found himself homeless so is feeling quite scared in kennels. 😔 Jock has good leash manners and knows some basic obedience already. This lovely boy would like lots of company whilst he settles into his new home and could live with teens (13+). 💖 In his previous home Jock was regularly socialised at the dog beach and lived with a cat sibling who was his best friend. 🐾

Meet the happiest boy, Pedro! 😁

This 2 year old large mixed breed is looking for a home with experienced, active owners who can take him for lots of outdoor adventures. He would enjoy walking in quiet areas and going for nice long hikes. Pedro loves to stretch his legs so a decent sized yard would be a big plus! 🥰

This super affectionate boy is best suited to teenagers (13+) or potentially older kids (10+) that are used to big, bouncy dogs. Trick training, scent work or even hoopers would be great for this super smart boy.

Pedro is lacking in experience with other dogs and can be quite unsure when interacting with them. His new owners will need to be dedicated to his training and socialisation to help him become the best boy possible. Making nice doggy friends that he could walk with at a distance whilst he builds up his confidence would be perfect for this boy. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home so that he can soak up all of the love! 🐾

This beautiful gentle giant is Gloria! 🥰

Gloria is a super mellow 3 year old Bull Arab x who walks beautifully on lead. This girl absolutely loves affection and is looking for a home where she can showered in love! She has some basic obedience skills already and will learn quickly as she enjoys her food. Gloria is very gentle and could potentially live with kids (5+) pending a meet. 💖

This lovely lady is relaxed when making new dog friends and is very respectful of their space. She is a well socialised big girl and would enjoy making nice dog friends for both walks and plays. 🐾

This pretty lady is Pinky! 🩷

Pinky is a super lovely 1.5 year old Medium Mixed Breed girl. She can be shy initially but absolutely loves affection and being spoilt! A semi active, quiet home environment would be the dream for this gal. She is super sweet but can be shy so is better suited to older children (8+). Pinky knows some basic obedience already and is super food motivated so with some gentle guidance will easily learn lots of new tricks. 🥰

This lovely young girl loves making new friends both human and dog alike. She has tested well with other dogs here at the refuge and will enjoy making lots of nice doggy friends. She would really enjoy going home with a nice dog brother who can help show her the ropes! 🐾

Gorgeous girl Whitehaven has come down from Geraldton to find her perfect home! 🥰 This girl is sooo cuddly and loves a good smooch!

This 1 year old Bull Arab x is just full of love and excitement. She is full of beans and loves to explore. Long sniffy walks and lots of playtime will keep this girl happy and engaged.

She would love to go home with an active family that can include her in all of their adventures. 💖 Teens (13+) would be best for this bouncy gal. Whitehaven would like to make suitably matched doggy friends to go for walks and adventures with. She may be able to live with a nice, calm dog brother pending a meet. 🐾

✨💛SUNDAY NIGHT PUPDATE 💛✨

Some of you may remember sweet senior boy Chowder who was a bit fussy with his food. Elaine and Emmet absolutely fell in love with him and now he is so spoilt in his forever home. 🥰

"Meet our big, handsome boy, Chowder! We adopted Chowder in September 2024, and he’s quickly become the heart of our family. At 8.5 years old, Chowder is our first dog as a married couple, and he couldn’t be more perfect for us. He even shares the same birthday as his owner!

Chowder is an Irish Wolfhound cross, and as an Irish couple, his breed mix spoke to our hearts. With his long, table-like legs and his sad but undeniably handsome face, how could we resist?

From the very beginning, Chowder settled in so well. He was already toilet trained and well-mannered around people. He loves nothing more than lounging in the sun or taking a snooze on his many, many beds (often ours) and couches around the house! He is spoiled!

One of his favourite things to do is play ball in our garden and joining us at local coffee shops where he enjoys his puppy-chinos. Chowder will sit with us, watching the world go by and wearing his harness which proudly displays his unique name—everyone in Subiaco says hello as we walk by!

We spoil him as much as possible (yes, we have custom car air fresheners with his face in both of our cars), and we are 100% obsessed with him. We couldn’t be more grateful for the joy he brings to our lives.

We’re working on improving his recall during walks as he can be quite strong on the lead but he’s making great progress with this through the help of a trainer. He is an excellent guard dog of the house and proudly takes guests out to the back garden to play ball with him every-time! His bark is scarier than he is!

We are taking him down south shortly for a trip where he can enjoy some hikes and sunshine, he really is living out his golden retirement years!

If you’re thinking about adopting a dog, we highly encourage everyone to consider a rescue. The team at Dogs' Refuge at Shenton Park have been so supportive, and we’re so thankful to have found Chowder through them.

These adorable staffy puppies will be available for adoption next weekend, Saturday 15 February and applications are open now 🐾 At this stage there are only female puppies available to adopt from this litter.

These pups will need plenty of company, positive training, and, of course, loads of love as they settle in and grow. 🌱

🐾 Our Puppy Adoption Fee includes:

✅ First Vaccinations
✅ Microchipping & transfer
✅ Desexing at 6 months

Please remember a puppy is a 15 year commitment so consider your long term plans including housing, employment and how much time you have to to give to raising a puppy 💕

Happy Sunday from Tiki! 🌞

Tiki came to us from a local pound and it appears he hadn't had much exposure to the outside world in his previous home, as he can be a little nervous around new people. Tiki is still a young pup at 10 months old, so has plenty of potential to grow into a confident, happy boy with the right guidance. He has told us this should include plenty of treats - food is currently his number one love and motivator to be the very best boy he can! 💙

A calm, quiet home would be best for Tiki and he would love to be rehomed with a playful doggy sister who can help build his confidence and show Tiki how great life can be in a loving home 🥰🐾

We cannot believe this beautiful boy is STILL waiting! ⏰⏰

Ullu is a 1 year old Kelpie who has made plenty of doggy and human friends during his stay here at the Refuge. 💕🐾 Whilst time needs to be taken with him initially, once Ullu is comfortable with you he is so affectionate and playful!

As a typical kelpie, Ullu has plenty of energy so will love going on hikes, bushwalks and other adventures with his new family. Ullu was lucky enough to go on a day trip to the dog beach recently and had the BEST time! 🏖

Ullu could share his new home with a doggy sibling and has even passed a cat test here at the Refuge, so could also live with a cat if introduced correctly 😻

✨🌟 Meet our Wanda-ful Wanda!! 🌟✨

Wanda is a 3ish year old medium sized staffy mix girly. 🥰 Wanda is a very sweet and sensitive girl looking for a lower traffic home where she can soak up all the love.

Wanda finds a lot more confidence around other dogs so it's in her best interest to be rehomed with a lovely doggie brother. She has not yet been tested with small dogs or cats.

Wanda is very affectionate once she gets to know you and loves a cuddle. She's better suited to an adult home or family with teens as she is on the shy side. She will be a fantastic addition to someone's home, and we hope she is adopted soon!

Beautiful Anora was taken in to a local vet after she was sadly hit by a car 🙁 Luckily, she sustained sore but only minor injuries and after no owner came forward for her and was uncontactable via her chip, she arrived at the Dogs' Refuge Home.
Anora is a 3ish year old mixed breed girl- we would guess some Staffy, maybe some Labrador, maybe even Mastiff?! She's gorgeous either way.

Anora met a poodle in the vet clinic and was very polite, and she has continued these good girl manners with dog meets here at the Refuge. She is a polite lady and does prefer polite friends- some of the cheeky boys we tested her with were a bit rude with their sniffs which she did not appreciate as it made her uncomfortable. Anora has not been tested with cats or small animals.

Anora is bouncy and happy meeting people and does sometimes forget her manners here! She is inclined to jump up and therefore we are recommending a home with older kids 13+ or adults. She will need an active home where she will get an hours exercise and mental enrichment per day.

This sweet girl deserves all the love in the world after having a horrible few weeks- so please consider adopting her!
