Today we begin using our new system! Appointments will be limited for a few days so please hold off any non-urgent appointments until next week, and if an emergency give VetWest a ring.
Yesterday was a crazy, chaotic day of switching out computers and installing new software, updating passwords and a whole lot of learning! Well done team we smashed it!

MONDAY 7th April 1pm-6pm the clinic will be closed whilst we install our new computer systems - please endeavour to arrange your pet’s appointments or medication refills for alternate days, and if an emergency please call Vetwest Clarkson or Currumbine.

Over the next month we are converting to an incredible new computer system which will allow streamlined admits, pre-approved insurance claims, collated pet medical records and a more reliable reminder system! HOWEVER with everything tech there may be some bumps in the road..... so we kindly ask any medication requests be put through sooner rather than later, appointment flexibility and some kindness to our staff whilst we make a massive change in house. 🐾🐾

This week marks the end of a wonderful era…. our amazing Dentist Dr Geraldine Gorman and her husband are leaving to have an adventure of a lifetime cycling their way down North America (she’s never done things by halves!) .
What an exciting new journey! Take care and we will miss you Thank you for teaching us so much of your endless wisdom ###

Meet the gorgeous Ziggy, a beautiful blue staffie who is old enough to know better……
He came in Friday afternoon vomiting, sore tummy, just not quite himself.
A quick ultrasound later and we could see an obstruction in his small intestine!
Our wonderful Doctors and nurses pulled up their sleeves and he was taken to surgery to remove a lovely (smelly) chewed up rubber ball! All on his Mum’s birthday! 🎂 Talk about stealing someone’s thunder…..here he is on his post-op check looking a little bit guilty 🥰

If your pets microchip is registered with HomeSafeID or if you are unsure who your pets microchip is registered with please visit the website www.petaddress.com.au to check or call the clinic and our lovely nurses can help you out. Unfortunately HomeSafeID is no longer operating which means you may need to change who your pets microchip is registered with. Luckily there are many other registration company's that are willing to help during this time. For more information please call the clinic on 9562 5555.

Overweight cats!

Did you know - some cats may be overweight because they are suffering from arthritis and are reluctant to move around much!

While our voluptuous feline friends are often adorably sweet and happy, cats are very good at hiding their ailments. We all love a good couch potato day, but if your cat has made a permanent indent in the couch, it might be time to see if there are any underlying causes to their sedentary preferences.
