We wanted to share this video of the beautiful Colin.
Colin is a very special, gentle giant who struggles on smooth flooring (it’s very scary!).
Weighing over 50kg makes it hard to lift Colin up for a fear free transport in clinic so we came up with this as a way of getting Colin around clinic when he was in for his dental procedure! Colin was using the soft blankets to make the scary floors feel more comfortable and it gave him the boost of confidence he needed to walk!
Very brave, Colin! 🥇🏆
We have been looking after the lovely Toffee for many years now and she is an incredibly special girl. This year Toffee is turning TWENTY!!
Every visit she enjoys a little creamy treat and a snack on our cat consult room grass.
We couldn’t resist showing this cute video of her enjoying her snack after her arthritis injection.

Kitten season is here and we have a special little friend growing and thriving behind the scenes of Foothills.
Nurse shanae has been doing a fabulous job with this little cutie pie who was found all alone on the street.
We can’t wait to see this little guy go from strength to strength!
ATTENTION 🐾🌿
We would like to share this important video again as we suspect there is a PARVOVIRUS outbreak in the Armadale and surrounding suburbs and we want your pets protected.
VACCINATION IS KEY IN PREVENTING YOUR PETS AND SLOWING THE SPREAD. There is no cure for parvovirus and treatment is intensive.
To book your pet in for their annual vaccinations please contact us on 94977488.
Please us spread the message by SHARING our post.

🐾⚠️‼️COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️⚠️🐾
Foothills Animal Hospital would like to warn the Armadale and surrounding communities that Canine Parvo Virus has made it self at home within our region. We have had the most confirmed cases in years, with multiple cases confirmed.
Parvovirus is a HIGHLY contagious virus that can survive in the environment for years.
Treatment of parvovirus is intensive and expensive. The only way to protect your furry family member from this horrible disease is to vaccinate.
Ensure unvaccinated puppies complete their appropriate vaccination protocol and are not taken out until your veterinarian has advised it is SAFE for your puppy to be out in the world.
Please contact the clinic on 9497 7488 to book your dog in for vaccination now.
We need your help to #carefortheanimals
A personal message from Dr Nicole.
P.s. Jack made a full recovery from a nasty gastroenteritis 🐾🌿
🌿ATTENTION 🌿
We have been seeing an increased incidence of kennel cough in the past two weeks, all with the very similar symptom of ‘coughing like something is stuck in their throat!’
Dr Nicole Leslie shares,
‘Canine cough in dogs is an upper respiratory tract infection which can cause a nasty cough. It can look like your dog has something caught in its throat! Normally dogs are otherwise bright and eating normally but in more severe cases they can be lethargic and feverish. The canine cough vaccine protects against one viral and one bacterial cause of coughing but there are many other viral/bacterial causes which your dog could be exposed to. For this reason the canine cough doesn’t always prevent an upper respiratory tract infection. Antibiotics aren’t commonly indicated as typically the infection is viral. Treatment is commonly aimed at settling the cough and isolating until symptom free.’
If your pup is due for vaccination or is exhibiting symptoms of canine kennel cough, please call the clinic on 9497 7488 and our nurses can help book your appointment 🐾🌿
MEET FLASH 🌿
Flash came in for his castrate last week & made the most of nurse Laura-Lee’s cuddles! Flash made sure to stock up on belly rubs, even enjoying them while we placed his catheter. Now that’s stress free handling!
What a superstar you are, Flash!
