🌻 HERD HOLIDAY: 3RD - 26TH NOVEMBER 🌻

Hey lovely friends! Just a little update from me and the herd 🐴💛

We’ll be taking a short break from the 3rd to the 26th of November, time for everyone (two-legged and four!) to rest, stretch, and maybe sneak in a few extra naps in the sun. ☀

Sessions will kick off again on the 27th, and we’ll be galloping straight into our round of Christmas events (how is it that time of year already?!). 🎄

I’ll be off to the UK for a few weeks to visit family and breathe in some proper chilly countryside air! Hot cuppa in one hand, probably a biscuit in the other. 🍵

Wishing you all a few gentle, joy-filled weeks while we’re away!

Can’t wait to see your smiling faces when we’re back!

🌟 What a Day at the Toodyay Agricultural Show! 🌟

Well, what an absolutely magic first outing for Jasper and my girl, Summer! 💛
Their debut together at the Toodyay Show (11/10/25) couldn’t have gone better!
Nine classes, six firsts, three seconds, and the Champion Ribbon! 🏆✨

Not bad at all for the only under 18 in the lineup! These two were calm, confident, and just bursting with pride!

I’m so, so proud of them both; Summer for her beautiful horsemanship and gentle leadership, and Jasper for being such a superstar and showing off his best self in the ring.

Moments like this make the early mornings totally worth it. 🐴💛

Where it all began 💛

Here’s 12 year old me (circa 1985) with my very first pony, Frosty. A sweet little Welsh pony who, truth be told, just wanted a quiet life.

Frosty patiently endured my big dreams of Olympic show jumping... despite my lack of skill and his firm belief that all four hooves should stay firmly on the ground!

Looking back, Frosty was the first to teach me what partnership with a horse really means. It wasn’t about control or competition, it was about listening. He showed me that mutual respect, trust, and understanding go far further than any trophy.

He taught me to notice the quiet moments, to tune in to what he was feeling, and to honour that before my own wants. Those lessons shaped everything that Two Seasons Equine Assisted Learning, is built on today. 💛

He’ll always be my first love, and my greatest teacher. 🐴

🐴 Meet Monty! 💛

Our newest (and might I say prettiest) member of the Two Seasons team has officially arrived! Monty is a 9 year old Australian Riding Pony standing at a perfect 13.2hh.

He’s swapping his show-ring sparkle for a bit more dirt, as he learns the ropes of life here with us; meeting everyone, figuring out who gives the best scratches, and perfecting his signature “look how handsome I am” pose.

So far, Monty’s favourite hobbies include being pampered by our visitors, digging artistic holes, and rolling in the dirt!

We can already tell this fella’s going to melt a few hearts (and probably charm his way into a few extra carrots). Welcome to the herd, Monty! 🐴🌻

🌼 Daisy’s paddock got a splash of colour, thanks to a crew of happy little painters who turned one of the shed stalls into a masterpiece! 🎨

Armed with buckets of non-toxic, washable paint, they laughed, chatted, and covered the walls in bright shapes and patterns. The best part? Once the paint fades away, the next group gets to add their own flair; so the shed becomes a living, changing artwork full of memories. 💛

And yes… Daisy was right there “helping” (which mostly meant sticking her nose in to inspect the brushwork and making sure snack breaks weren’t forgotten).

So many smiles, so much joy. 🌻

🐴 Pony Fun Day Update! 🐴

Our Monday 7th October Pony Fun Day is now fully booked!!
Thank you to everyone who jumped in so quickly!

Good news is we still have a few spots left for Tuesday 30th September! 🥳

These days are designed to give parents a breather too!
You can drop your kids off and pick them up afterwards, no need to stay for the full 3 hours. While they’re here, our wonderful team will be on hand to make sure everyone is safe, happy, and having a ball.

It’s a chance for kids to connect with horses, make new friends, and enjoy the fresh air, all while you sneak off for a bit of quiet time! 💛

What a great day out at the Give a Hoot Market Day Expo in Bullsbrook! 🌿🐴
We had such a fantastic time connecting with the community, meeting some amazing people and animals, and being surrounded by so many passionate stallholders and exhibitors.

Tuesday was a very special day. 👠🐴
Our herd looked magnificent in red for Red Shoes Rock, our way of joining families across Australia in raising awareness for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

FASD can bring daily challenges with things like emotional regulation, focus, impulse control, and social connections. And for the parents I’ve spoken with, it often means walking through life with so much patience, resilience, and love… even when the world doesn’t always understand. What makes the biggest difference is compassion and safe spaces where both kids and parents can exhale, free of judgement.

This is why I believe so strongly in what we do here. The research is clear on how equine programs help children with autism, ADHD, and learning differences. While FASD-specific studies are still growing, we saw glimpses on Tuesday of just how much this work can support families, and my heart is so full. 💛

Watching those red ribbons flowing in the breeze reminded me exactly why we do this. Every family deserves a place where they’re welcomed, just as they are. 🌻
