Lately there have been a huge increase in the amount of scams doing the rounds, and the amount of money being lost due to phishing scams.
To stay safe, people should avoid clicking links in emails or text messages, instead sourcing their own websites or phone numbers for the companies or government departments supposedly contacting them. Also talk to family and friends, this dramatically reduces the risk of getting caught by a scam.
