We are excited to announce out that we are teaming up with Village Cafe Whiteman Park as of July 6th as our new Saturday location with the possibility of extending this to include Friday and Sunday too.

Please don’t look for The Treat Truck though as we have our very own building right next door to the cafe just for pooches to come and grab their gourmet goodies from. The Village Cafe is extremely dog friendly, set within the grounds of whiteman park not far from the awesome Motor Museum. Our section overlooks the undercover alfresco area, so we look forward to seeing a lot of regular faces enjoying breakfast, lunch and coffee here and we look forward to meeting a lot of new faces as we start our new journey at this beautiful little cafe.

Gorilla and I will be ready and waiting to serve you next Saturday! 🐾

🚨 SOS❗️ URGENT HELP FOR TRIGGER❗️

Our hearts are breaking for Trigger, he is so stressed in the boarding kennels that it is not only destroying him mentally, but physically too 💔

He’s lost condition, every rib now on display; everyone who knows Trigger is shocked by the state of him. The kennel staff and our volunteers are equally concerned, Trigger is miserable and he is suffering. He needs a home and he needs it FAST!

Trigger is a gorgeous, affectionate dog, but his anxiety has gotten the better of him with all of the upheaval in his life. It should go without saying, you will need to be patient and allow him time to decompress and settle into his new home. Being passed from home to home, or home to kennel, will only do him more damage 😔

We are more than happy to provide you with support and allow you to visit our trainer with Trigger. We want you to succeed and we want to see Trigger not only survive, but thrive!

Over the coming weeks you will be seeing a few new big things happening with this little business that started back in 2011. When I started on this venture, I was doing all things animals. In home pet minding, grooming, fish tank cleaning, treats… the works! Hence the name Woof Meow Tweet Squeak. But over the years my nutrition studies grew and so did my passion and along came The Treat Truck in 2016… the first of its kind in Perth, as part of my already established business. I continued grooming until Covid hit and my ever developing arthritis in my spine could take no more. Being able to throw 100% of my time into the nutrition side of the business has brought me so much happiness and I know so many pooches love their Treat Truck visits.
That brings us to close the chapter officially on Woof Meow Tweet Squeak and move forward as of next week to be simply known as The Treat Truck ( which most of you have been calling us for years anyway! 😂 ) Our logo will change but Roman’s face will forever remain on the side of our truck ❤️

To say I didn’t shed a few tears as I locked up The Treat Truck today for the last time in this little spot that has been mine for 7 years would be a lie.

A very big thank you to the owners and team at Slate Cafe who have treated us like family over the years and created a safe and welcoming place for the pooches of Perth to gather each week. As two businesses, we always supported each other and through tough obstacles such as COVID and extreme lengthy road closures, we got by. I got to see the Slate family add human and fur babies to their families, and they witnessed the loss of both my boys, Roman and Pepe-roni. I’m so appreciative of the years I got to spend with you all and wish you all success in future endeavours.

To all of our customers who have visited us in this little spot over the years, some even weekly, thank you for your ongoing support. We have watched puppies grow over the years and made some amazing friends along the way. And a big thank you for all of those who came today for the last play date and weekend at Slate. It made getting through an emotional day that little bit easier.

Nearly every customer asked us today where we will be on a Saturday now. At this stage, we are still not 100% certain as we have a couple of options and some arrangements to fine tune. In the meantime we will offer a weekly pick up menu and a delivery service until we are out in full swing again during peak season starting in September. But for the short term, I’m going to enjoy a few lazy Saturday mornings with Gorilla 🦍

So sad to be posting a final menu for Slate Cafe 😢. But what a menu it is! We look forward to seeing all the pooches and their families there tomorrow to say goodbye to the end of an era and enjoy one last final play date. All well behaved pooches welcome. Play date 9-1. I met these faces on Sanur beach during my last trip to Bali. They are just four of the dogs under the care of an amazing local man named Fritz. He gave up his job to care for the local dogs roaming the streets. From his own pocket he pays for them to be sterilised, to be feed, given flea and worm treatment and any other medical care they may require. Most of them return to the village with him at night and venture back to the beach during the day where they can be seen frolicking in the ocean and being loved on by this kind man. I told him on my return to Bali I would bring much needed supplies. As most of you know, I usually work with another rescue which I still continue to help, but I feel the need to help this one man show this time around. If you would like to donate to the cause, please feel free to drop off your donations to The Treat Truck prior to August 20th. Items such as flea and worm treatments, medicated shampoos, collars, ear drops, treats…. I also encourage $ donations which allows me to purchase supplies locally.
