Shyla, this would have to be my millionth attempt at writing this for you, and I still feel that I'll completely miss the mark at conveying how special you were. Not just to me and the short times we spent together for your spa days, even though it was over many years, but especially for your pawrents.
Your mum let me know yesterday that you had left us and the rest of the world a little darker today.
I'll no longer get to hear the excited snap snap of your teeth, which was your trademark of arousal of any kind that I found super endearing.
I'll miss your sassy back chat, judgemental side eye, and how you kept your brother Bear in check.
You never made my job easy, but you always let me have the best hugs when your pawrents weren't around, to make up for it.
You were the epitome of a female Alaskan Malamute, and I can't thank your pawrents enough for allowing me to be your hairdresser, stylist, hug giver and taker, bath sharer and howling partner.
Another star lit the sky last night, and it was the brightest because you made damn sure it was.
Happy trails in your silver harness, Shyla. I'll give your brother an extra long hug when I see him next and whisper your name in his ear so he knows you're watching him so he bahaves himself π
RIP, beautiful girl π π π
