Now that I’ve had a chance to properly sit down I can write this appreciation post.
The weekend was one of the longest most painful weekends I’ve ever had. We were off to a rough start with my comp buddy who pulled out last minute and I had only entered this competition because of her, so thanks ashgroomsdogs.
While I didn’t place for Salon Freestyle with Beeb she still looked really cute in the end and you guys should see a video of her walking cause it’s super chubby and cute. The kind of cute that makes you laugh every time you see her.
Then came the real challenge here which was competing in poodle. It’s only my second time competing in the Poodle class because I was never brave enough to do it, but I’ve got a poodle now thanks to RailsToyz - Toy Poodles and have since done so much study and training that I kind of have to.
I have been practicing so much on Dear Daniel that he had coat missing here and there and that was part of the reason why I didn’t want to enter him in especially with a judge like tiarne_perkiss who is a poodle aficionado and I was a bit embarrassed at the state of his coat atm 🙈 but then I was convinced by Clare who organised the event to enter him in and boy look at that
If I wasn’t heavily coaxed into diving in deep end we wouldn’t have won first place would we Danny?

Massive thanks to Clare Price again for all her hard wirk organising these events. It’s not easy and super stressful to get numbers. Also massive thank you to our judge yesterday Tiarne Perkiss. My mentor selly.grooming.academy for her guidance and mentoring. Tania who I can’t seem to tag for some weird reason with her guidance and support. Raylene who breeds awesome toy poodles - seriously if you guys are looking for one. My family and friends who supported me near and far
Bebe and Danni were both prepped with ivsanbernardaustralia and scissored with delta_grooming_scissors without which I would not be able to do full hand scissor on so many dogs.
