My Handreared Birds & Info Perth

I have 1 handreared long billed corella available.
2 Indian ringneck x alexandrines that were handreared but not been handled since because I became my partners carer. 1 is size of ringneck other is bigger. They are greens. With time & patience could tame again.

2 aviary Indian ringnecks, last year's young, 1 lutino, 1 olive green.

No idea of s*xes. Will take photos in next day or 2.

Ringnecks still on special.
They need new postcodes ASAP

I have been away a week so they have had no handling. So need a bit of time. But they were spoon fed

Very hard to get great photos as the never keep still when they see/here me.
This was just after being fed.

I dont dna s*x as I dont like the idea of pin pricking for blood or pulling a blood feather.

So all up I'm handrearing.
2 alexandrines
1 green Indian ringneck
1 olive Indian ringneck
1 lutino Indian ringneck
2 cinnamon ? Indian ringnecks
2 slate Indian ringnecks (1 starting to wean)

I dont DNA s*x them as I dont like the idea of pin pricking them or pulling blood feather.

Will be handrearing some weeros in approx 2 weeks.

Trying to get a photo is difficult as its scared of my phone.

Will also be handrearing a normal green & an olive green from tomorrow

The 2 Alexandrines & youngest slate grey Indian ringneck.
I had older ringnecks in with them & they started plucking the alexandrines for some reason. The feathers do grow back

Well I think out what i thought was 3 Latinos, that only 1 is lutino & the other 2 possibly cinnamon.
I will take updates photos of all babies in a day or 2.

From 16th I will also be handrearing 3 lutino Indian ringnecks.

So all up I will be handrearing
1 blue Indian ringneck
2 slate grey Indian ringnecks (dont see this colour very often anymore)
3 lutino Indian ringnecks
2 alexandrines.

Possibly more but not for a little while.

Well went from 7 baby indian ringnecks to only 3 :( .
The down side of new parents, it is sad but the only way new parents learn.
The 3 remaining babies have red eyes.

All 5 eggs hatched from 2nd nest of ringnecks.
4 have red eyes, 1 has dark eyes.
Did not expect to get red eyes from these parents, so they are "split" for other colours. Will be interesting to watch them grow.

3 of 5 eggs have hatched from second clutch of Indian ringnecks so far. All 3 have red eyes. Hopefully other 2 eggs hatch too.

The 2 babies that have hatched (3rd egg no good I think) 1 has red eyes, 1 has plum coloured eyes by the look of it.
Will be interesting to see what colours they will be.
The other pr with 5 eggs, parents are i think blue female, yellow male. Fingers crossed not all green babies.

I have 2 pairs of Indian ringnecks on eggs.
1 pr have 3 eggs not far off hatching.
Other pr on 5 eggs, candles them all fertile.

Fingers crossed, these are first time parents.
