🚐 Van Update 🚐

We went to see the mechanic today as we didn’t have a direct way to get in touch with them.

So word is, it’s looking like it is the ecu module for the transmission.
But they want to spend a bit more time confirming that before committing to getting the part in.
They have said the van more than likely won’t be ready to be picked up till Friday providing that is the final issue.

So for all clients with bookings this week, I will sit later and message you all as the only option for service is still at my house.
My trailer isn’t safe to tow due to bad rust in the main frame. I am not willing to risk it being on the road after a professional welder advised not to drive it around till it is repaired.

Please keep a watch out for a text message. I will be in touch this evening.

Unfortunately I do apologise for the inconvenience this is causing and also a huge thank you to those clients happy to bring your dog to me. I appreciate you.
I also completely understand if you are unable to bring your dog to me.

I just hope the van is back soon! If you can’t bring your dog to me, there is wriggle room for me being school holidays to catch up with you once the van is back.

Well back to work for 2025 wasn’t the way I actually wanted to be back at work but it was so good to start seeing my furry lovelies again!
The van was towed away this morning so we now anxiously wait on word as to how things are going.
Hopefully it isn’t a long wait.

So first up in the trailer for 2025 and visiting me at home was my handsome buddy Max.
I got a lovely smile from him today!!

There is good news and bad news regarding the van. 😅

Good news is the transmission is testing ok and the problem isn’t major.

Bad news is the van needs to go into the workshop as the issue is electrical and needs to be seen by their electrical guy.
So the van will be towed to them on Monday.
Unfortunately this does mean interruptions to bookings.
However, I can work from home in the trailer if you are able to bring your dogs to me.
Of course the price will be discounted.

I will be in touch with clients over the weekend to rearrange bookings if coming to me isn’t an option.
I am unable to tow the trailer to you as some structural weaknesses have been found in the trailer and isn’t safe to tow until it is repaired.

Seriously this is all sounding like a sad drama story. But we hope to be up and running again as soon as we can and visiting you all very soon.
At this stage until they get the van into the workshop, they don’t know yet what kind of time frame it will take to repair.

Please keep watch out for my messages for those clients booked in for early next week.

We have a mobile mechanic coming out to me tomorrow to do diagnostic scans on the van.
We will then have a much clearer idea as to what is going on. All research is leading towards sensor fault or electrical issue.
We will know more tomorrow.
Please keep praying for me as we need it to be something minor.

It’s with a really heavy heart and sadness to hear of the passing of my mate Miller.
He was a sweetheart who loved his baths and telling the neighbours it was bath day.
I know that Miller’s family esp his mum is heartbroken at his passing. He was a part of an amazing family.
Rest in peace big guy and thank you for becoming my furry friend.
My thoughts are with Miller’s family and I send my deepest condolences.

Well what a year 2024 has been for me and the business.
We did survive and we did all we could to keep the business running against all odds and hurdles thrown at us.

It has also ended with a bang literally with the van breaking down again today.
I am truly in disbelief and hoping n praying it’s something simple.


I want to say a massive Thank you to all of my amazing clients for putting up with the interruptions this year and still sticking with me.
I truly appreciate you and realise how lucky I am to have amazing people supporting my small business.

From our family to yours, we wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New year.
May it be safe and relaxing.
