The overhaul of my locomotive's components, scheduled for October, is no longer valid. But why? It was done ahead of schedule, four months earlier! What remains is painting inside the cabin, exterior yellow in accordance with AUSTRALIAN SUGAR CANE RAILWAY standards and installation of external lamps. I was able to see my own locomotive and drive it a bit. I did quite well...

There is a lot of work on the farm and sometimes I have to work myself instead of being the boss. Here I started to bring watermelons to the wholesaler, from where they will 'go to the world to individual customers'. Loading on the farm, arrival at the warehouse in Perth, unloading... and all this times two!. It's good that Monje๐Ÿฅฐ wanted to help me and took a few photos as a souvenir, by the way.๐Ÿ˜

The first sugarcane harvest on our farm, located next to Perth, Western Australia. After two years of developing the desert wastelands bordering the protected areas of the Gibson Desert, with irrigation of the resulting farmlands with desalinated water from the Indian Ocean, it was possible to try to plant and later, the first sugar cane. The abundance of crops exceeded our wildest expectations, the viability of catch crops, we estimate for the next two harvests, only then will it be necessary to plough for another crop, because we do not use crop monoculture, but the old proven crop rotation.
And with sugarcane growing on such a large scale, I have my own turn! The railway, admittedly... narrow-gauge for transporting crops from the fields to the docking station, where the wagons are moved from the railway platform to the truck going with sugar cane to the mill. But it's always my own railway.

26/2/2024 https://www.facebook.com/ig.diamond - The 10 Most Expensive Precious Metals in the World
The list of expensive precious metals and figures mentioned below has been compiled from various sources around the web, such as 911Metallurgist & Gold Investments.

These are the 10 most expensive precious metals in the world:

10. INDIUM - In

Indium is a soft white-silvery chemical element that can be identified by its symbol, In, and its atomic number 49.
Apart from Alkali, Indium is the softest metal on the planet and is a post-transition metal that accounts for approximately 0.21 parts per million of the earthโ€™s crust.
Indium can be melted down into liquid form at a higher melting point than sodium and gallium, but just a little bit under Lithium and tin.
It was first discovered in 1863 by Ferdinand Reich and Hieronymous Theodor Ritcher using Spectroscopic methods. They named it Indium due to the indigo blue line in its spectrum.
Indium is most commonly used in the semiconductor industry for goods like alloys, solders, and soft-metal high vacuum seals.
Indium costs around $1 โ€“ $5 per gram depending on purity and quantity.

9. SCANDIUM - Sc

The next most expensive precious metal in the world is Scandium.
This chemical element can be identified using its symbol, Sc, or atomic number 21.A.
Scandium was first discovered in Scandinavia in 1879 by spectral analysis of the minerals euxenite and gadolinite. Credit was given to Swedish Scientist, Lars Nilsson, who appropriately named it after Scandinavia.
Itโ€™s a silvery-white metallic color and has been historically classified as a rare-earth element.
It can be found in most of the deposits of rare-earth and uranium compounds but is only extracted from certain ores in a few mines around the world.
One gram of Scandium acetate is valued at $44

8. SILVER - Ag

Coming in at number 8 on our list of precious metals is one of the most well known and common metals on the planet, silver.
Its chemical element symbol is Ag, and its atomic number is 47.
Silver exhibits the highest electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and reflectivity of any metal known to man.
It can be found in the earthโ€™s crust in its purest elemental form as an alloy with gold and other precious metals, and, in minerals like Chlorargyrite and argentite. However, most of the worldโ€™s silver is produced as a by-product of gold, lead, copper, and zinc refining.
As silver has long been considered a precious metal, itโ€™s been used in several different ways, like in the manufacturing of bullion coins and other non-currency related mediums like solar panels, water filtration systems, and jewelry.
The current approximate price per gram of silver is $0.48 per gram.

7. RHENIUM - Re

Rhenium is considered to be one of the rarest metals in the earthโ€™s crust and has the third-highest melting point and second-highest boiling point of any stable element.
It can be identified using its chemical element symbol, Re, and atomic number 75.
Rhenium was discovered in 1908 and named after the Rhine river in Europe. It was also the second-last stable element to be found, just before hafnium.
This precious metal is often used for Nickel-based superalloys in combustion chambers, turbine blades, and exhaust nozzles of jet engines.
Rhenium costs in the region of $1,290 per troy ounce at this current moment in time.

6. OSMIUM - Os

Osmium is a hard bluish-white transition metal in the platinum group that can be found as a trace element in alloys and Platinum ores.
Itโ€™s the densest naturally occurring element and is commonly used to make fountain-pen nib tipping and electrical contacts.
Itโ€™s also one of the rarest elements on the planet, which is why it demands such a high price.
Per troy ounce, youโ€™re looking at paying around $400, which has been pretty consistent since the 1990s but can fluctuate a little depending on the market.

5. IRIDIUM - Ir

Iridium is a hard silvery-white transition metal that is considered to be the second densest metal on earth.
It is the most corrosion-resistant metal and can be found in abundance in meteorites and the earthโ€™s crust.
Iridium was discovered in 1803 by Smithson Tennant, who named the precious metal after the Greek goddess Iris because its striking salts resembled all the colors of the rainbow.
South Africa produces the most significant quantities of this metal, which it exports to countries around the world to be used in various products such as watches and compasses, and all different parts in the automotive industry.
Iridiums current price is around $520 per ounce.

4. RUTHENIUM - Ru

Coming in at number four on our list of the most expensive precious metals is Ruthenium.
Ruthenium is a chemical element that can be identified by the symbol Ru and atomic number 44.
Belonging to the Platinum group; Ruthenium is a rare transition metal that was discovered by Russian-born scientist, Karl Ernst Claus, in 1844 at Kazan State University.
He named the element Ruthenium in honor of Russia, as Ruthenia is Latin for Rusโ€™.
Ruthenium is most commonly found in ores with other platinum group metals in the mountains of North and South America. It is widely used in several electronics devices and equipment.
As of today, Ruthenium costs approximately $260 per ounce.

3. GOLD - Au

The third most expensive precious metal in the world is gold.
This precious metal needs no introduction as itโ€™s arguably the most commonly known metal in the world.
In its purest form, gold can is a bright yellow, dense, soft, malleable, and ductile metal and is one of the least reactive chemical elements on earth.
Gold is often found in its free elemental native form, nuggets or grains in rocks, veins, and alluvial deposits.
Itโ€™s still considered to be relatively rare, hence the price tag, and has often been used throughout history for coinage, jewelry, and arts.
China still produces the largest amount of gold, with an estimated 440 tones per year.
The price of gold per gram, as it currently stands, is approximately $53.95.

2. PALLADIUM - Pd

The Second most expensive precious metal in the world is Palladium.
Palladium is a chemical element identified by the symbol Pd and its atomic number 46.
Discovered in 1803 by English Chemist William Hyde Wollaston, Palladium was named after the asteroid Pallas.
Itโ€™s part of the Platinum Group along with Platinum, Rhodium, Ruthenium, Iridium, and Osmium, which all have similar chemical properties, however, Palladium has the lowest melting point and is the least dense of them all.
Palladiumsโ€™ most common use is in Catalytic Converters, which are used to convert up to 90% of all harmful gasses in automobile exhausts into less noxious substances.
Itโ€™s also used to make some of the worldโ€™s most expensive jewelry, as well as electronics, groundwater treatment, hydrogen purification, dentistry, and medicine.
Youโ€™d better have deep pockets if you want to splash some cash on this precious metal, as a single gram of Palladium will run you a cool $72.13!

1 !!! RHODIUM - Rh

The title of the most expensive precious metal in the world goes to Rhodium.
This precious metal is extremely rare and can be best described as a silver-white, hard, corrosion-resistant inert transition metal.
Rhodium is a member of the platinum group and a noble metal. It was first discovered by William Hyde Wollaston in 1803 and appropriately named due to the rose color of one of its chlorine compounds.
It can be found in platinum or nickel ores alongside other precious metals of the platinum group.
Just like the second most expensive precious metal in the world, Palladium, around 80% of the worldโ€™s Rhodium is used as one of the catalysts in a three-way catalyst converter in automobiles.
As of 2020, the current price per gram of Rhodium is $260.42, which cements it as the most expensive precious metal in the world!

SUMMARY

We hope you enjoyed our list of the 10 most expensive precious metals in the world.
Shocking, right? Weโ€™d not even heard of some of them before we put this list together.
However, we were quickly surprised at just how many of these precious metals are used in a lot of day-to-day products.
Still, $260.42 for a single gram is a little out excessive, so weโ€™ll be sticking with good old gold and silver for now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

12/06/2024

26/3/2023 - Relief wells can provide water resources and help reduce the severity and extent of waterlogging and salinity caused by leaky artesian systems.
A relief well is a 'free-flowing' groundwater bore driven by artesian pressure. Such a bore allows groundwater to flow continuously up to the surface by releasing confined pressure stored within the aquifer at depth. This confined artesian pressure is renewed by a percentage of rainfall that infiltrates the soil profile at a higher elevation and recharges aquifers that may be a source of water for a saline seep.
An owner or occupier of land must give at least 90 days notice to the Commissioner of Soil and Land Conservation of an intent to drain subsurface water to control salinity and discharging that water onto other land, into other water or into a watercourse, even if on the same property. The notice must be in writing using the notice of intent to drain or pump (NOID) form. Principles and guidelines for inland drainage are covered in the Policy framework for inland drainage.
And at last when you finally have all the permits and you can enjoy your own underground water, dear very lucky man, you've only one more problem to solve. Yeah, just only one! So what to do with the salt taken from the extracted water? Storage requires the construction of appropriate warehouses, and it is best to find a salt recipient. This salt contains sodium chloride, calcium chloride but the most magnesium sulfate. They're a perfect ingredients to the great for the production of artificial fertilizers, enriching your farmland with nutrients important for vegetation.
Not so easy, dearest...๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‰

26/1/2023 - We're in two-thirds of the watermelon harvest. Surprising is the large amount of fruit at different stages of ripening. Fortunately, most are ripe and ready for harvest, but a quarter are fruits not yet fully ripe. Workers sort them at harvest on the site. When unripe, they will age until they are late better. This will delay the delivery to my buyer a bit, but the contract stipulates it. In general, the harvest is more abundant than expected and it pleases for us.๐Ÿ˜Š The trees visible on the horizon are my eucalyptus trees planted last year, behind which is our farm, outbuildings and house is also there, of course.

23/1/2023 - We started to work today early morning at 4.00 am. The front shift is twelve workers working until 1 noon. Next shift from 1 pm to 10 pm also twelve people. Shifts after 8 hours of work and 1 hour breaktime is first time a quarter, next time half an hour and last quarter of an hour. The temperature at noon was 32 degrees Celsius. I work both shifts... of course. I'm writing this post on the second shift because I've a breaktime. It's 4.45 pm. I took the attached photo from above around 8 this morning. Knowing when to harvest watermelon is the key. There are many ways to know that itโ€™s the right time to pick a watermelon. The plant and the melon both give you keys to knowing when to harvest watermelon. As to how long it takes to harvest a watermelon, well, it is not as long as you think. Finally, the surface color of the watermelon will become dull. The underside of the watermelon that was on the ground will also turn light green or yellow if it is time to pick the watermelon.
As you can see, there are plenty of keys to knowing when to pick watermelon, so you canโ€™t go wrong if you watch for the signs... Pokaลผ mniej

27/7/2022 - I'm still not an Arab sheikh I'm not so rich as they are. But like them, I've my own source of obtaining fuel for my company's cars, because I've my own refinery producing diesel oil and gasoline from waste polyethylene, polypropylene and rubber, i.e. common known as plastic. Based on the information available on websites, including the famous Youtube service, together with my employees we've built and launched a small but highly efficient plant for processing garbage from our farm into car fuel. To begin with, we collected from the area of my farm and the surrounding desert all the old, useless tires, plastic garbage and other crap that had been abandoned there for decades. Also our own waste from home, plastic packaging all this is a raw material for free gasoline. The pyrolysis process is started with our own biogas, obtained from bio-waste managed from the process of water recovery from our own wastewater. If you're interested in homemade of your own gasoline and diesel fuel from your own garbage, I recommend visiting the YT channel and give one useful link to a smart Pole, a clever man who shows and explains on his channel how to produce fuel is avalaible. You've a crisis in Poland with fuel and coal, so instead of whining and cursing the rulers, move your bottoms and follow the example of your clever ancestors, get to work. As a curiosity, I give an incentive that from polyethylene waste you can also get homemade, pure food ethyl alcohol as a bonus. Yours sincerely and give a link to Youtube.
