Did you know that every time a cat visits our clinic, we place a special blanket sprayed with Feliway over their cage? 😺💜

Why? Because Feliway contains calming pheromones that help cats feel safe and relaxed in unfamiliar environments. It’s our little way of helping our feline friends feel more at home during their visit! 🐈‍⬛✨

This adorable little man came in for his dental procedure and completely melted our hearts!

He was more than happy to spend the afternoon being carried around for cuddles and we were more than happy to oblige! 🥰

Today we celebrate our incredible veterinary nurses, Sue, Debra, Cerys, Jade, Emma, Jess, Lisa, Mary, Liisa, Sherri, Mel, Talia, and Megan, who are the heart and hands behind everything we do here at Wanneroo Veterinary Hospital. 🐾

Our vet nurses wear many hats every single day, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
They are the ones who:
🐶 Comfort anxious pets (and owners!) during visits
🐾 Monitor patients during surgery and recovery with the utmost care
💉 Take blood samples, place IV lines, and run diagnostic tests
🩹 Assist with dental procedures, x-rays, and medical treatments
💊 Administer medications and ensure every patient receives the right care
🏥 Keep our hospital running smoothly, cleaning, sterilising, preparing, and organising behind the scenes
📞 Offer advice and reassurance to pet owners with kindness and compassion
💚 Provide endless cuddles, patience, and love to every animal that walks through our doors

That’s called the philtrum, and it’s not just for looks!

This groove carries moisture from the mouth to the nose, and that wetness is super important… because it traps scent particles. The wetter the nose, the better the sniff! 👃💦
