UPDATE she’s been found ♥️ back safe in her mummy’s arms

HELP NEEDED PLEASE LOST PUPPY. Unfortunately our new adopted dog Nova was accidentally let outside by a third party at our groomers. She is microchipped, but it is hot and she'll be very anxious. Her name is Nova. She ran in karrinyup (Lake karrinyup side of the shops) but potentially has run across the road into Scarborough. She also knows lake gwelup very well. If people in these and the surrounding areas could keep their eyes out we would be very grateful. She is a 5kg cream toy poodle. Phone numbers 0413771236 (me) 0407487028 (Mum-Victoria)

NOT ONE ADOPTION APPLICATION 🥺😢😔 DAYNE IS A BEAUTIFUL BOY INSIDE AND OUT AND WE CAN’T BELIEVE HE HASN’T FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME YET!

Dayne
1 yo - male
American bulldog cross

Dayne is beautiful!! You can always rely on him to lie on his back near you waiting for those belly rubs! He also likes to wake you up with morning kisses.

He likes to watch you and is curious and he knows his basic commands. He is a big boy and somewhere with plenty of space would be best. He can jump quite high so he needs high fences in his next home.

Dayne is toilet trained and can use a doggy door with ease. He is well behaved inside the car and knows how to get in and out, as well as where to sit.

He is very playful with other dogs and may do best paired with another large dog he can run around with.

If you'd love to welcome Dayne into your family, email DFL today to apply.

When taking me for a walk, it is important to make sure that the pavement isn't hot for my paws. If the ground is hot for your bare feet, it's too hot for me and it is best to keep me inside where it is cool or in the shade.

***PROSECUTION OUTCOME***

A 38-year-old Quinns Rocks woman has been fined $15,000 and banned from owning animals for five years, after failing to feed her two dogs, one of which later died from starvation.

In August 2021, the RSPCA received a report about two skinny dogs at the accused’s address. An inspector attended to investigate. In the backyard, she found Blaze, a one-year-old Staffy cross, emaciated, with the outline of his ribs, hips and spine protruding. The other dog, Odin, a three-year-old Bull Mastiff cross, was in very poor condition, with the outline of his bones also clearly visible. There was no fresh water available for the dogs.

The inspector questioned the offender, who admitted the dogs had been deteriorating for ‘about a month’, and that she’d never seen Blaze so skinny, but had not taken either dog to the vet. She said she was feeding both dogs twice a day, and had recently wormed them, but they were not gaining any weight.

The inspector told the offender she suspected the dogs were not being fed properly and the offender agreed to surrender them both.

RSPCA vets found Blaze weighed just 12 kgs–less than half his ideal weight. Odin was also emaciated, weighing in at 25 kgs, more than 10 kgs less than he should, and had an infection in both ears.
In a sad turn of events, Blaze suffered a sudden heart attack while in care, and despite vets administering critical care and CPR, he was unable to be saved. A post-mortem found Blaze’s cause of death was prolonged and severe starvation.

Over the course of several months, Odin was able to make a full recovery in RSPCA care. He gained 13 kilograms to reach his ideal weight and was adopted into a loving new home.

✨EXPRESSION OF INTEREST- EXPERIENCED HOMES ✨

We are looking for expressions of interest for 8 gorgeous but very unsure young Husky mix doggies.

Back in December, we received a call from our amazing friends at Husky Rescue WA . They had done amazing work rescuing 20 dogs from a hoarding situation in NSW. These dogs had never left a property in their entire lives, and there were over 80 dogs who had been severely neglected.

9 of these babies made their way to us. 1 lucky boy caught the eye of one of our amazing team members, and he is now living the good life with her!

That leaves us with 8 dogs on the hunt for their forever homes. We are looking for EXPERIENCED HOMES ONLY for these young dogs. They are aged from 8 months to 2 years old and there are males and females. They are all husky mix so ideally we would also like homes that are familiar with the breed.

These pups have been making progress here with our dedicated team, but progress will continue to be slow in their new homes. They will need consistent positive reinforcement and a very patient, loving approach. It will no doubt take a long time, potentially months (maybe years), before these dogs feel truly comfortable and safe in their new environment. It is likely that they will always have some underlying fear based hesitancies, but owners can definitely focus their training efforts on confidence building.

As you can expect, they have been exposed to very little in his life-this includes people, sounds, environments and other animals. The closest relationships he has developed were with the other dogs on the property. While rehoming them in pairs may seem like a good idea, it would actually be very detrimental to their development in the 'real world'. Ideally we would like these dogs to each go home with another confident dog pal to show them the ropes. They will require a calm home without too much traffic or new people, our trainers are suggesting adults or 16+ only as they have likely not been around children. Someone home more often than not would be preferred.

We know, this is a long list of specifics- but in the right home we believe these babies will truly flourish!

If you are interested in these lovely pups, please complete our adoption questionnaire below adding 'H PUPS' as the name of the dogs you are interested in.

FOSTER FOUND 💕

Ivy is a sweet medium
sized, 9 month old female, Staffy x who is in desperate need of a patient, confident foster carer (or foster view to adopt) by this Friday!

She will require a no pet home and at least one person home all of the time for the next few months (no full time workers please). Ivy is friendly with people and can go with children over 10 years. It is imperative that the foster carer is able to follow instructions and committed to helping Ivy work through some anxiety.

Although Ivy has lived with dogs and cats before, she needs to be the sole focus for now. Sadly Ivy has been repeatedly let down by people as they have not listened to advice provided to them. This means she is now out of options, unless a suitable foster carer or foster view to adopt home is found this week!

✅ Someone home at all times
✅ No other pets
✅ Kids over 10 years
✅ Available to foster until adopted

If you can meet the above requirements and would like to help Ivy, please complete the form below:

https://aus02a.sheltermanager.com/service?account=eb0915&method=online_form_html&formid=2

Please note: Ivy is also available for adoption through WA Pet Project, but does need to go on foster view to adopt while settling in.

If you are unable to foster, please share 💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛

This little boy was seen being cruelly dumped not far from our gates this morning. We witnessed a car driving away and this poor little man was running after it. Thankfully our amazing staff and volunteers managed to capture him and he is now safe at our Home being loved and spoilt.

Whilst we obviously don't want the horrible person who dumped him to get him back we're just worried he may have been taken and then abandoned.

If anyone recognises this dog please contact us as you will need to provide proof of ownership.

If no one comes forward he will see our vet and be processed through our system (sterilised, vaccinated, microchipped and behaviour assessed) before being made available for adoption.

We are so grateful to be able to help abandoned dogs like this with your help.
