🔔 Community Donation Drive for Dogs Refuge Home - Shenton Park 🔔

The refuge is overflowing, and it truly breaks our hearts 💔 We personally would love to rescue every dog but with that not being possible we want to help in other ways.

✨ We're reaching out for donations to support the refuge with the following items: ✨

✅Long-lasting chews (such as pigs ears, beef ears, bully sticks, etc. but no rawhide please)
✅ Kongs
✅ Towels
✅ Dog-safe peanut butter
✅ Sardines
✅ Puppy Pads
✅ Old flat sheets
✅ Second-hand puppy pens
✅ Baby gates

If you'd like to contribute any of these items, please bring them when you drop off or pick up your dog. We'll be collecting donations over the next two weeks and delivering them directly to the shelter ✨

Every little bit helps! Our goal is to help make the dogs at the shelter as comfortable as possible during their stay 🧡

🧼🧽 We will also be donating 50% of all daycare baths booked for the next two weeks to the The Dogs Refuge Home ~ book your doggo’s pamper session in today and help support these doggos in need 🧼 🧽

Have you read our very first barkin’ blog? 🤠 🌵

I talk about the my old gal Ruby (my furry angel 🕊️) and how she became a bit of a pudgy pooch 🫣🤪.

Ruby was incredibly skilful in her day and could always figure out a way to open any fridge, no matter how many child locks or baracades were put infront of it 😂 Her most successful escapade was stealing the turkey 🦃 on Xmas Eve 🫣

• Communicate behavioral observations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, following deep cleaning protocols

Skills & Experience:

• Certification in dog training/handling or relevant experience
• Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
• Dedication to exceptional customer service across all interactions

Previous daycare experience is preferred.

Woweee, what a week we’ve had! 🚀 We welcomed 4️⃣ new wagglers to our pack 🙌 and we couldn’t be happier about it 👏

Welcome Ellie, Ace, Storm, and Mozart – we’re thrilled to have you as part of our family 🫶 🏡

We celebrated our gorgeous boys Rocky, Hank, and Max’s birthdays in style 🎉 🥳 The vibes were high, and the cake was sooooo good 🎂🙌

Now, we’re hanging our hats up for the weekend 🤠, getting ready to Woof n’ Waggle all over again next week 💚 🐾

9 years young Max has celebrated his 9th year around the sun with us this morning and we couldn’t be more grateful 🥹

Max was one of the first doggos to walk through our daycare doors and since beginning we have watched him grow before our eyes and it has been a blessing 🫶🏼

Max made sure to celebrate his special day with his best friend and fellow OG, Kyzer 🐶 how special is sharing your birthday cake with your best friend 🎂

🐾 💚 BIG WAGGLY WELCOME TO ACE 🐾 💚

This morning, this sweet bubba boy joined us, and my goodness, he's adorable 🥹

Ace was a little unsure of his surroundings first thing, so it was our job to advocate for him 🫶, taking things nice and slow, ensuring he had enough space to settle in comfortably. ✨

We introduced him to the pack gradually, and he was a superstar 🤩.

We’ve spent the morning giving him lots of snuggles and reassurance building his bond with us. He has now even had some plays with our ladies Sarabi and Kiah . We love seeing him come out of his shell 🐚, slow and steady wins the race 🐌 🙌

We can’t wait to watch your confidence grow buddy ☀️ We are going to love having you as part of the Woof n’ Waggle family 🤠 🌵

Ready for his next concerto, the great artist, Mozart 🎹

Mozart used to come to us as a puppy but has had a break for a while and come back to join back with our little family 🐶

Such a happy spirit, Mozart had come in today with a massive smile on his face and has spent the morning making loads of friends and even best friends in Bailey the Staffy and Winston the Husky 🐕

We are so happy and lucky to have beautiful Mozart back in our family and can’t wait to see all his friendships blossom 🌸

Storm’s family are no strangers to these parts, as they had their first born, little Penny 🖤, enrolled before Storm joined their family 🐕🐩

Storm has been a lovely addition to our pack 🐾 and we can’t wait to watch him grow in confidence over his time with us 🌟

Ellie is settling in wonderfully this morning, showing huge growth in confidence 🙌 🙌

Her interactions with the other dogs have been lovely, for a puppy of 16 weeks she is an absolute superstar 🤩. Ellie has had a few zoomies 🏎️ some lovey plays and even took a rest in her crate. ✨.

Brain Busters Activity 🐶 ~ Rear End Awareness Training 🤩

Rear end awarness refers to a doggo’s ability to have awareness and control of its rear legs and feet 🐾 this essential for a working breeds balance, coordination and over all movement 🙌

You can make this exercise super simple, we used an upside down water bowl and just encouraging the dogs to interact with it in any way 🤩 Obviously the goal is to have their front two paws 🐾 on the bowl - and from here, they learn to pivot with only their back legs while keeping their front paws on the bowl 🥣

Any interaction with the bowl was rewarded to start with, and then we moved to trying to get one paw, then two, and for some SUPER overachievers (Floki and Darcee below) 😉 we managed to get the pivot around the bowl.

We will be building on this skill over the coming weeks and try get everyone making progress each time! 🤩
