HOT WEATHER WARNING 🌡☀️
Today is a particularly hot day, so just a couple of little reminders to make sure your pups are comfortable and prevent heat stress-
🐾 Have plenty of access to shade (even better inside with the air-conditioning if possible)
🐾 Lots of water available (i like to make sure i have bigger tubs for those that like to tip their bowls over 😂)
🐾 Avoid walking your dogs in the heat of the day. The ground gets so hot and concrete/road retains the heat, so be sure to check with your hands or feet, to make sure it won't burn your furry friends paws.
🐾 Don't leave your doggo in the car. Cars heat up so quickly, so even just a small trip to the shop could have deadly consequences if your dog is left in the car.
🐾 Avoid using muzzles that restrict your dog from panting (basket muzzles that they can fully pant is fine). Our dogs regulate alot of their temperature through panting, so this is vital to help aid in the prevention of heat stress.
Here is a video of Bosco enjoying the sprinklers at our private dog park and he suggests that it is a pretty epic way to stay cool 😝
