It is with much sadness we announce the passing of our special little clinic dog, Peanut.

In his younger days Peanut was part of the clinic welcoming committee.

So much personality packed into a such a tiny dog.

Thank you so much to Elena Joss who brought him into our lives through her rescue work. We were very blessed.

🐕 As per our community’s wishes, come 14 March, the City will establish a 600m section of beach for on-leash dogs in North Coogee. This will include the 200m shoreline of Chelydra Point Beach at Lot 2161 McTaggart Cove, and 400m of the adjoining southern end of the C.Y. O’Connor Beach dog exercise area. A delineation marker at the northern end and signs at the southern end of the on-leash beach area will be installed to show where the beach starts and ends.

Did you know dogs are allowed on-lead in ALL public places in Cockburn, except for 3 locations along the beach? We are also trialling several reserves as off-leash exercise areas when not in use by sporting groups and schools and already have 5 enclosed dog parks.

And there’s more, we offer heavily subsidised dog training for all residents, and run sessions in schools to teach our kids about staying safe around dogs. Yep, we love our dogs here in Cockburn 🙂 For more on dogs in Cockburn visit: https://bit.ly/3lJ7sxA

UPDATE: ANGUS IS DOING WELL! UPDATED X-RAYS AND VIDEO OF HIM TROTTING AROUND IN THE COMMENTS :) Angus officially became a "bionic doggy" this week following his second fracture repair. Poor Angus was hit by a car when he excitedly ran across the road to see his Mummy. Angus suffered from a bruised liver and injuries in both of his back legs- a broken left tibia with compartment syndrome, broken right medial femoral condyle and proximal fibula, and cruciate and collateral ligament injuries. In the past two weeks Angus had has multiple staged surgeries to repair his injuries. He's been a brave boy in hospital but much prefers to be at home with his owners and his best friend, Bam Bam. Although he has a long road to complete recovery, we don't doubt he will do well under the loving care of his dedicated owner, Tanya Harrington. We can't wait to show you a photo of Angus running around again!

🎉🐶 WELL DONE BUSTER! 🐶🎉 Meet Buster the Pug, it may not look like much, but Buster has made a marvellous recovery! Buster suffered from a injury which caused him to become a tetraplegic, meaning he was paralysed in all four of his limbs. His family wanted to do everything they could to help poor Buster but surgery would have been very expensive option for his injury. Luckily, Buster has an amazing family who ensured he received 24 hour care for his every need... A couple of days ago, Buster's family sent us this video of his progress: Following their amazing efforts, Buster has taken his first steps since his injury!! 🎉🎉Hooray for Buster!! 🎉🎉
