This groom was a hard one, whilst the 3 cats were compliant we had to groom under difficult conditions.
We were called out to a warehouse to groom these 3 beautiful cats.
1 x domestic shorthair and 2 x British Shorthairs.
We were only there 5 mins when the power went out, it was 42 degrees that day so no aircon and the only way to see what we were doing was to use the lights on our mobile phones…. Despite these challenges happy to say we got it done and all 3 cats are better for it 💕🐱

Not every groom can end in an immaculately groomed cat. This lovely girl is Annie, she is a rescue and is extremely timid, scared and full of anxiety.
She hated the shower head on our bath so we had to resort to bathing her slowly in about 2 inches of water. She didn’t like our cabinet dryer which even the scardiest of cats usually tolerate, she hated the blow dryer and the handheld brush dryer so we had to settle for a towel dry.
The good news is even though our dry Deshed brushout removed lots of hair, the bath worked it’s magic and removed alot more hair and so did the combing and brushing after towel drying.
What did we learn.,, we now know her limits so we can structure her next groom around that so she can enjoy it a lot more 😺

If your cat is needing a deshed brushout, Matt removal, or lion clip, please consider giving them a bath n blowdry as well.
When a cat is matted or has a compacted coat, their skin becomes loaded with dander, dirt prickles and sensitive skin from being pulled tight and is left itchy and irritated.
Giving your cat a bath after not only removes any left over dead hair and dander but cleanses and soothes the skin leaving your cat feeling clean and soothes.
👉If your current groomer doesn’t offer baths or blowdrys you cat is missing out on a much needed part of the groom.
Your cat will feel itchy and sore especially if the skin is irritated !

Not all summer clips need to go to the skin, this is a great option for those out door cats, this 1 cm teddy clip leaves enough coat so they won’t get Sunburnt 🌞

Meet ❤️Missy❤️ the Domestic longhair cat. Missy is 16 years old and due to her age she doesn’t take care of her coat like she used to.
She had developed some pretty impressive Matt’s so we’ve given her an Asian Lion Clip to remove to knots and matting but keep some hair to help keep her warmer with winter around the corner.
Missy was such an angel whilst being groomed, even though it was her first time she was very compliant 🐾

Meet 🐾Davey🐾 the Persian.
I actually bred Davey about 5 years ago now, I always feel so blessed to have kitties we’ve bred come back to us for grooming and feel very lucky to have so many come back to us so we get to see them and have kitty cuddles 😻😺 Davey had quite a few knots and Matt’s so we gave him a Lion Clip and he feels so much better now

Meet 🐾MIA🐾 she’s a beautiful Maltese X Sh*tzu.
I don’t usually do dogs but helped a client out as she was very matted, especially down her paws, legs and ears.
Wish we had taken a before pic,.. you can now see her beautiful eyes and expression.
She even looks likes she’s smiling now. Such a good feeling to know you’ve made them feel better and happy along with a very happy owner.

Not every groom can look perfect,.. but every groom helps a cat 🙂
Meet 🐾Bubbie🐾 the Ragdoll.
Her owner fell sick and was hospitalized and without regular grooming Bubbie developed Matt’s along her back. She’s a chunky girl and can’t reach that area to groom herself.
We removed the Matt’s and gave her a deshed brushout with a full underneath clip so she’ll be low maintenance for her human mum who is still struggling with health problems. Grooms like this not only benefit the cat but can make life easier on the owner too 😺.

Meet 💫Neeko💫 the white Siberian … we came to groom him for his regular 6 week schedule bath and blowdry. His owner mentioned he’d managed to sneak out and get in a cat fight.
The only thing noticeable was a tiny scab on his ear.
No big deal… WRONG … when we went to give that ear a routine clean it was red and swollen on the inside and started bleeding.
It was a puncture wound from cats teeth which should always be treated like an infection as cats teeth are riddled with bacteria. Regular grooms don’t only keep your cat clean and comfortable but help see/find things that may usually go unnoticed.
Some things we have found whilst grooming are fleas, grass seeds embedded in the skin, splinters, scratches and abscess’s, suspicious lumps, a dead earthworm stuck in the coat, ear mites, blood around the urethra indicating a serious kidney infection which saved the cats life, blocked anal glands, ingrown nails that are sometimes infected, toe/paw injuries 🙀.
