So, we had lots of good try's at guessing our new bantams but no-one guessed Araucana.

So here they are, our new BANTAM Lavender Araucana.

So now we have a bantam greeny/blue egg layer for all those who keep bantams

We look forward to them starting to lay so we get some chicks hatching - I would suspect that will be the end of Autumn.

We will have a limited number of 1 week old chicks available for pick-up from the farm gate on the afternoon of the 24th (open until late- via appointment)

🚐 We are also offering a Canberra and surrounds Delivery on the 23rd.
AND
🚙 Sydney metro delivery on the 24th.

There is just something special about frizzled feathered chickens.

Did you know there is a breed called Frizzle, BUT it is also a feather type, so any breed of chicken you cross with a frizzle can produce frizzle.

This darling little girl is from a chocolate brown, so in the new year , we hopeing to be able to introduce 'Chocolate' frizzle and smooth layers to the collection.

We have already started releasing frizzle Easter eggers and have plans for frizzle olive eggers as well, coming soon.

So just when you thought you had your collection of chickens completed, we add a few more beauties to entice you😍

I know it has been a long wait and I am gradually working through back orders (a very long list), now we are doing fortnightly hatchings it is going quicker.

I get asked this question all the time:

"Do the different coloured eggs taste different?"

Well, you can see by the bowl of eggs that they are all the same, smaller yolk for smaller eggs and bigger yolks for larger eggs, but ultimately, they are all eggs.

What influences taste then?
