I got it all wrong for Jacinta! She ended up giving us four kids! Two boys and two girls. 😁
It got crazy busy all of a sudden so no action videos or photos unfortunately. She started pushing as I was milking out Sarita (who gave 2.5L of colostrum!!) The first kid was a buck, followed by a backwards and very stuck doe kid. (I guess it’s not always the boys who cause trouble). Then a third (buck) and we thought she was done. I went next door to feed the older kids in the shed, came back and she was licking a fourth! A little doe. ❤️
I now have a very full portacot! 😂

And here we have Jacinta, who I believe is also in early labour…. It could be an interesting day. They always wait for the yucky weather to kid! I’m guessing two for Jacinta (maybe one of each). 😬

Little Origami (on the right) has turned corner and decided he does in fact want to live. 👏👏👏 All are doing well now and getting stronger on their legs.

The three newborns. Two are feeding well but I’m a little concerned for the boy we have affectionately named ‘Origami’ (because both his ears are folded up). He refused his morning bottle and only took half as much as the others at 2am…… not a good sign. 🤞 Hopefully he comes good soon!

Juliet ended up birthing four kids! Unfortunately kid number 3 was stillborn, so she ended up with 2 bucklings and 1 doe. Well done to those of you who guessed correctly! 👏👏👏 Photos tomorrow when there’s better light.

We are definitely in the first stages of labour with Juliet! Who wants to guess how many kids are inside?….. She gave us one tiny doeling last year for her first freshening. I’m guessing this year she’ll have 3? Maybe two does and a buck?

As part of my ‘pre-kidding’ routine I like to give all expectant mothers a clip around the rear. This helps a lot with birthing hygiene as it minimise the amount of birthing fluids that get caught up and dried in the tail and leg hair. I forgot to do it one year and regretted it.
Not long to wait now. I’m expecting kids this week!! 😬

We have four does that will be having their kids this month! If you’re after a pure breed Anglo Nubian doe, buck or whether kid to bottle feed then send me a pm and I’ll contact you when they are born. 🥰 Kids must go in pairs unless you already have a goat family for them to join. Also you MUST have a PIC number. 👍

I also forgot to post about this little dude. Born last week (when I was feeling unwell). He is a single buckling for Sarita. I was a little surprised she only had one as her two previous kiddings resulted in triplets and quads!
