We are so excited to have a new platform for you to enjoy. Each page has been carefully curated to showcase the beauty of what we do. We take you on a journey from when the kennels were established in the 1990’s into the personal stories of today 🐾

A few things to note as we move forward:

• As of 1/2/2025 our rates will increase by 10%
• A cancellation policy has been established
• Bone broth & Wolki treats can now be purchased through revelation pets when you book your stay 🦴

Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄✨

It’s safe to say it’s been a roller coaster of a year… Arliah and I kicked it off touring Tasmania and if someone had told us we would be running a kennel by the end of the year we would’ve had a right ol laugh!

Yet we’re exactly where we’re meant to be; supporting & being supported by a beautiful community. We’re so grateful to be gifted this opportunity by David. And with the help of his family especially his wonderful mum Annette here we are today.

Thank you to all of our loyal customers for continuing to support the kennels & believing in us! So here’s to the next chapter, we can’t wait see what’s in store for 2025 & we look forward to sharing the journey with you all 🌞🦮

Bone Broth is abundant with collagen, protein, calcium, magnesium and other minerals which are important for a dog’s overall health. As our 13yr old Kelpie ‘Sunni’ starts to show his age, bone broth keeps him strong & supple!

We keep it simple with each batch including;

🌿Grass fed beef & lamb bones from our local butcher
🌿 Organic Rosemary - Anti inflammatory
🌿 Celtic Sea Salt - natural electrolytes

After 20 litres has been made, the broth will then get portioned out into 150ml containers & frozen for the dogs to enjoy on a hot summers day 🌞🐕

What a treat!

Dear Bright Boarding Kennels community,

It is with a heavy heart that we express to you that David Boyer (owner of BBK) sadly passed away on the morning of Friday 8/11th. After 5 months of his battle with pancreatic cancer he left this earth peacefully & with a heart full of love for the community that has continually supported him throughout this journey.

David’s dream was to create a joyful & safe space for all dogs to stay. From his years of experience with owning and training dogs for hunting and comfort in company. David’s natural ability & deep wisdom of dogs allowed for this community to flourish from day dot.

David’s wish was to continue operations of the Kennels and with your support we have been able to do so, for this we are grateful. As we move forward Luke Breaden (manager of BBK) whom many of you have already met, has gracefully decided to take on ownership of the Kennels.

We are excited to begin this next journey & provide amazing services and care for all your fur babies this summer and beyond, in honour of David and his legacy.

Hello everyone, Great news!

Thanks to the truly overwhelming volume of offers to help staff the kennels we will be able to keep the Kennel and Cattery open to the public!

I want to thank everyone who came forward, the gesture alone means a lot and I won't forget it.

So, let’s sacrifice a few snowboards to the mountain gods, get some power falling and put our new people to work.

I will, of course, still cherry pick time with my favourites for the executive stuff like couch planning sessions and strategy walks down by the river.

Urgent help needed. Due to an unexpected cancer diagnosis we need to hire an interim business manager and additional Kennel hands while I undergo treatment.

It is my hope we can keep the facility open for everyone in this busy snow holiday time.
