Hi, my name is Harlow, I came up to Redgum this week because I was rubbing my ears on the carpet. It made it hard to watch my favourite movie, The Lion King. Although I hide when I hear Scars voice. I'll be back in 7 days to see Dr Tayla again to make sure the infection in my ears has gone, everyone have your paws crossed for me!!

🐾🐶🐱 Winter Wisdom from Your Favourite Senior Duo ❄️🏡

DOG:
Hey friends! It’s me, Max the senior lab. The air’s getting chilly, and my morning zoomies have turned into... slow stretches and careful steps. 🐾

CAT:
Ugh, tell me about it. I’m Misty, the classy senior feline of this house. These cold floors are NOT kind to my royal joints. And don’t get me started on the draft by the window... 😾

DOG:
Luckily, our human is on top of things! We went to the vet last week for my arthritis injection—game changer. I’m feeling so much better already! Less creaky, more tail-waggy.

CAT:
Same here. The vet did my wellness bloods to keep an eye on my kidneys and liver (apparently it’s a “senior thing”?). Everything looks good—and now I’m on some pain relief that helps me move without the grumps. Even got a heated bed out of it. Royal treatment! 👑

DOG:
Winter is no time to tough it out, pals. If you’ve noticed your senior pet slowing down, limping, or just not acting like their usual fluffy self—it might be joint pain. Your vet can help us feel young again! 🐕

CAT:
Speak for yourself—I’ve always been sophisticated and slow-moving. But yes, vet visits in winter = smart hoomaning. We may be old, but we’ve still got lots of love (and sass) to give 💖

Stay warm, stay well, and tell your humans to book that check-up!
Love,
🐾 Max & Misty – your favourite silver-whiskered housemates

🎩🐾 A Frosty Feline Warning from Felix the Cat! 🐾🎩

Hey folks! It’s me — Felix the Cat, your classic cartoon charmer with a magical bag of tricks and a VERY important winter message for all the hoomans out there. ❄️🐱

As the temps drop and you cozy up with your hot cocoa and fuzzy socks, let’s not forget about us fabulous felines and a sneaky little winter villain: urinary blockages 😿

Yep, that’s right. Us male cats, especially, can get into serious trouble during the colder months. You see:

💧 We drink less water when it’s cold
💎 That means our p*e can get thick and crystal-y (yikes!)
🚫 That can lead to blockages — and I’m not talking about your driveway
💥 And trust me, it’s not just “ouch,” it’s emergency vet time, fast!

But don’t panic! With your help (and maybe a little magic from my trusty bag of tricks), we can dodge this winter woe:

✨ Serve more wet food — it's like soup for cats, and we’re here for it
💦 Keep our water fresh and fancy — think fountains, not that old bowl from 2014
👀 Watch for weird bathroom habits — if I’m straining, crying, or p*eing in odd spots, that’s your cue

Let’s keep winter full of purrs, play, and maybe a few heroic cartoon adventures — not vet visits. Deal?

😺💦❄️

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a snowman to chase and a nap to get back to. Stay frosty — but not too frosty, okay? 😸

🐾 A Message from Your Favorite Furry Friend 🐾

Hey hooman! 🐶🐱 It’s me – your snuggle buddy, treat enthusiast, and professional napper. I wanted to have a little heart-to-heart (or paw-to-heart?) about something super important… desexing!

Now, before you freak out and clutch your pearls — hear me out. Getting me desexed isn’t just about preventing mini-mes running wild (as adorable as that sounds 🐾😅). It’s actually a huge WIN for me:

✨ I’m less likely to get certain cancers (yes, even us furballs worry about that stuff!)
✨ I won’t go all Romeo-and-Juliet over the neighbor’s poodle every time I go outside
✨ No more embarrassing “mounting incidents” in front of your guests 🙈
✨ I get to live a longer, healthier, and calmer life with YOU — my favorite hooman in the world

Plus, let’s be real: the world already has so many homeless pets who need loving homes. You're helping make the world a better place for all of us 🐾🌍💖

So give me extra belly rubs, book that vet appointment, and let’s do this! I promise I’ll still love you just as much after… maybe even more (especially if there are post-surgery treats involved 😋).

🐾✂️💕

Love,
Your fur-ever friend 🐶🐾
