Molly was reluctantly surrendered to the shelter. She is an extremely affectionate young girl who is house trained, likes to sleep inside with her humans and loves her toys. As MOLLY is only young, she would benefit from ongoing training and socialisation.

Luna has been at the shelter for 21 days now and is looking for a place to call home. She is a very loyal, loving and affectionate girl who despite her age is still very playful and energetic. We suspect Luna has separation anxiety so she would be best suited to an owner who would have the patience and time to spend with her. Nick came to the shelter as a microchipped stray and was never reclaimed. Unfortunately, NICK has dermatitis which has caused a secondary infection in his ears and a hot spot on his neck (picture below). He is receiving medication for these issues however they will require ongoing treatment. He also has an unknown issue with his back legs which will require x-rays to find out the underlying issue. As we are a council impounding facility, we are unable to provide the treatment he requires. He does appear to be dog selective however he is a loving boy who is very people orientated, walks well on a lead and knows basic commands.

KIWI came to the shelter as an un microchipped stray in July and was never reclaimed. Unfortunately, she did not cope well in the cattery so she went to a foster carer for a period of time to see how she would cope in a home environment, and she thrived. She is reserved when she first meets new people and will need a patient home to give her time to show her true personality. She is a playful and smoochy girl who loves being around other felines so she would be best suited to a home with an existing cat. She is litter trained and is a very clean cat who with the right patient owner her personality would shine through, and she would make a perfect companion.

*UPDATE: SAFE WITH A RESCUE* *THIRD RESCUE/ADOPTION PLEA FOR TIMBA (IMP 640)* Today is TIMBAs 54th day here in the shelter and her second stay with us this year. we have reached out to dozens of rescues and this is our third social media post to find her a home. She is energetic but loves a cuddle and has a super sweet affectionate nature. She is dog selective and so would be suited to being an only dog home where she can be the centre of attention. She would also need a secure yard with decent fencing as she can jump fences when left alone for long periods of time. All vet work completed. 🌟 PET OF THE WEEK 🌟 UPDATE: ADOPTED IMP 512 “OAKLEY” is a 1.5 year old Stumpy Tail Cattle mix who came to the shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed. He has been at the shelter for a month now and we would love to see him go to his forever home. He is very sweet natured however we have observed that he also shy’s away with sudden movements so he will need time and patience when it comes to training as we believe he has had very minimal. He loves people and wants to be with them all the time and appears to be dog social however if you have an existing dog a meet and greet would be required to ensure they are compatible. He is a a little teddy bear who loves his cuddles as you can see in the video and would make a great companion to a committed owner. He would suit an active family or a property where he can run and play but also come inside as he likes to be the centre of attention. *UPDATE: WILLOW IS SAFE WITH A RESCUE ORGANISATION* 🆘URGENTLY SEEKING A REACUE ORGANISATION OR SUITABLE ADOPTEE🆘 IMP 467 “WILLOW” is a 4 year old Bull Arab mix who was adopted from the shelter in 2022 and was returned due to no fault of her own. She has been at the shelter for 35 days and has had no interest and as a result we are seeing her slowly decline. She is very loving and affectionate with all staff members however WILLOW can take a dislike to male humans and is dog selective which is making it very difficult to find her a suitable home. She requires secure fencing as she can be an escape artist when left alone for too long and will need to be the only dog in a home. Willows front right paw was broken as a pup and has healed incorrectly however the vets have said that it will not affect her. She is developing happy tail from being in the kennels and staff are trying to manage it as best we can. All her vet work has been completed. We are URGENTLY SEEKING A RESCUE ORGANISATION OR SUITABLE ADOPTEE to give Willow a place to decompress from the shelter environment as we know she has so much potential and love to give in the right environment.
