Portland Dog Obedience At the PDOC, we offer several levels of dog training, from foundation work, to advanced obedience.

All dogs and trainers are welcome to come and practice obedience in our group classes which are run by club volunteers every Sunday.

What wonderful fun we had at the PDOC Christmas break up this morning. Thankyou to everyone who came along and joined in the games and parade. Thankyou to our trainers and committee for another wonderful year

It’s PDOC Christmas party time! Yes it is that time of the year again and our Christmas fun break up is being held this Sunday Nelson Park at 10am. Come along for some fun games with your dogs for your chance to win some fabulous doggie prizes. Best dressed festive pet and owner comp will follow the games so come dressed to impress. Note this year will just be the games and best dressed parade format, no food, so no need to bring a plate just bring yourself, your dog and your Christmas spirit! All members and this years foundation class participants are welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing you there. 🐶

It’s here! Our second inaugural rally and obedience trials are happening this Saturday and Sunday. Competition will be starting in between 8.30am and 9am each day and with 315 entries there will be plenty of action to watch for spectators. Everyone is welcome however human spectators only please, non-competing dogs will need to stay at home. So come along and support all of those competing, grab a raffle ticket (prizes photo in comments), coffee or an egg and bacon roll, sausage, hamburger, steak sandwich or vege burger from our friends at Rotary who will be on site all weekend. Huge congratulations to all our foundation class graduates today! Well done to all of you it’s been great to watch the connections with your dogs grow so much. Luckily the rain held out for us this morning. That wraps up our foundation training for the year. Our next new intake will be in February when we start up for 2026. An extra big thankyou to trainers Jacqui and Susie for all their hard work in making our foundation classes such a success this year.
