SoFur is a passion project that was inspired by my fur baby little Pixie. Once we went on a holiday to Jervis Bay we had to pack her bed in the car and also have a separate car booster which was a bit chunky so I thought " Wouldn't it be nice to have a product that can do both and easy to bring along? Something practical, safe, stylish and have the BRAG right cus I do love to show off 😝

nths of researching I found someone who can help me create a portable dog car seat that can be converted into a comfy bed. We got 6 prototypes made, did a "Survey Pawty" which 14 pawrents and 12 fur babies came to try out our dog travel beds and gave us their feedback so we can create the ULTIMATE travel bed for your fur babies🐾

Our products are nearly ready and hoping to launch before Christmas🎄

Haven't posted for a while as my travel business has picked up to the point I've been working 7 days a week. I feel super guilty that I have less time to work on both SoFur and FR33 EARTH but travel is paying the bill so I have to put my effort into that first.
Last week we were meant to do the Dogs in the Park on Sunday but both of us have been tested positive for covid and the right thing to do is to stay home.
The long weekend was a good rest up as I know my body and brain are burnt out.
The good thing is that travel has given me the $$$ so I can actually start paying someone to help us out with our businesses + I feel less stress that I can actually contribute to the household's bill.

I was going to do Ryde market but then the trade show is on at the same time so I had to choose one.
After looking at the plan, our work schedules and energy level, my partner said that doing the trade show at this stage probably not a good idea as most retailers would have stocked up in the beginning of the year. Since Olivia from will be there at the Ryde market already, I should take a break cus I'm burnt out.

The market is cool but most people go to the food area where the pet area is up top.

Normally I'd post daily for all of our businesses however my travel business has picked up last week so I didn't have time to do anything which I feel awful about it 😥

Excuse my french but I'm F***ING pi**ed off😡
Nothing to do with the business but today I saw a post where someone said:
"We love our dog so much, he's a good boy and cheeky but we need to give him away due to the fact that we are too busy with our business and feel like he deserves better".
So what if you have a human baby and you are too busy with your business? Do you give up your baby as well?
It really sadden me that there are still people out there like this😥

Whenever we have to do Trade Shows or Markets, Scott is the one who organise everything and I'm just a helping hand with packing or whatever he needs me to do.
With him working full time and I manage FR33 EARTH , SoFur and itravel with Sekha Walsh , I need to organise everything which at times can be challenging cus I don't know what I'm doing most of the time.

After promoting SoFur at Fair Day I kinda got the hang of how we should work.

Our stall space is 3x3 so we have heaps of space as we only need to have a few things there and won't be bringing stock with us as they are bulky and will be doing free shipping to our customers.

I'm putting the banner and the travel beds in the front to get people's attention but still have a bit of space in the front to welcome people in. I also noticed at Fair day is that whenever we demonstrate on how our travel beds work to 1 or 2 people, more people who walk by would stop and watch as well which is a good thing.

Anyway, I'm pretty excited to test Kirribilli Markets out this Sat 😁

Our Facebook Ads guy has told us that short videos of 10-15 secs would boost up our product and people need to see how our travel bed works. I got an email from them today and the owner was happy for me to send in an article about SoFur pet travel beds without any cost! I had to read the email 3 times to make sure I was reading it right! With 1,850+ stories published, Australian Dog Lover has received over 5.77 million page views with all our feature stories shared via our Facebook (53.9K), LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter (1.7K) & Instagram (7.6K) feeds and 7,980+ subscribers on their site. There is going to be a small pet event in Nov that I was interested in to do and I was excited about it but when I saw their 2019 event, it looked kinda sad. So I just rang one of the business who did the event and asked her for her feedback. She said that the foot traffic wasn't there and told me probably best not to do it which was the answer I was looking for so thanks buddha that I dodge the bullet! Cold calling is something that freaks me out as I'm scared of rejections but last week I have tried to do it and now I feel more confident and actually having fun doing it. It's all about getting out of my comfort zone and lots of practices. Today I literally google pet stores in each state, phone the stores to tell them about SoFur and whether I can send them an email about my product and wholesale price list. I'd then record their info and what I have done in excel so I can keep tab of what I have done. Some retailers are interested but just need more time as we all just got out from the lock down so business is not busy at the moment which is totally understandable. Hopefully Christmas would help pick up the pace a bit.
