Rest assured that the clinic is still open and the staff are working behind the scenes consulting and refilling medication prescriptions before the new year.

We are open until 5:30 today. If the phone has not been fixed before then, and you are requiring AFTER HOURS service, please call AREC (animal referral emergency centre). We apologise for this technical issue.

From everyone here at Raymond Terrace Vet Clinic, we wish you all have a safe and wonderful Christmas 2024. Thank you for the endless support, gifts, laughs and good times. We are there to comfort you during the first times with your pets, hard times, sad times, happy times and sometimes the last time.

To all our beautiful fur friends, big and small, I hope Santa leaves a present under the tree for you too 🎄but please no stealing the Christmas ham ⚠️

During the Christmas break, our Vets and Vet Nurses will be taking some time off to spend with family and friends. Please share this post below of our Christmas opening hours as some have changed. We thank you for your patience and kindness during these busy times.

Here at Raymond Terrace Vet Clinic, we have an exciting PART-TIME and FULL-TIME position available for a new or recent graduate.

The following is what you can look forward to at this clinic:

A 4-day work week + 1 Saturday morning in 4 (when you are ready for this)
Very competitive salary package
Very supportive staff, and very highly trained nurses – you will never be left alone
2:1 vet nurse to vet ratio
Interesting case load, both medical and surgical (up to 8 surgeries daily)
NO AFTERHOURS
Inhouse IDEXX pathology, ultrasound, X-ray including dental, endoscope and much more
You will be encouraged to further your education and passion in whatever field takes your interest
The clinic turnover of staff is very low, with most staff working 10+ years here
This is a 99% small animal practice
Our team here consists of 2 full time vets, 3 part time vets and 9 nurses.

We aim to strive for a great work-life balance, fun at work and a healthy work environment.

Raymond Terrace is a lovely little town on the Williams River, located only 25mins from Newcastle, close to Nelson Bay and the Hunter valley Vineyards and only 2hrs from Sydney.

Temperatures today (thursday 7/11/2024) are set to sky rocket up to 38 degrees

PREPARE PREPARE PREPARE

We are reminding all Valued Clients to PREPARE for todays extreme weather conditions for your beloved pets and wildlife.

Here are some tips to remember to keep your pet safe today:

🛋️ Inside where possible for any pet that suffers from breathing issues, heart conditions, heavily pregnant, overweight then recommended or current medical issues.
🌳 Plenty of access to shaded areas and trees
💦 Supply to plenty of fresh cool water.
🚘 Do not leave pets inside parked cars. Temperatures will rise rapidly where the seconds all count.
🐕 Avoid walking between the hours of 9-5 is usually recommended but may be extended pending on weather conditions. Pavements and roads can burn the paws of your beloved friend in this heat.
🦅 Don’t forget about our wildlife friends, they need help too! Chinese containers or left over ice cream containers filled with water and placed under a shaded area or balcony can supply access to water to any struggling wildlife in todays heat. A little gesture goes a long way.

If your pet shows signs of struggling, please call the closest vet clinic to you and seek assistance where possible.

Please be patient with staff if you do require emergency assistance.
Every clinic is experiencing Vet shortages in some way which is out of our control. Vets are only human and doing the best they can.

Street parking at the front of the clinic is currently blocked off today by council as they conducts work around the Woolworths car park. The street is still open and accessible.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause while getting your pets to their scheduled appointments.

Planning ahead and time priority will be needed for today as parking is limited.

As of this morning, Our Clinic is already filling up with incoming TICK paralysis cases and SNAKE bite cases. PLEASE spread the awareness to have up-to-date prevention for your fur babies and watch out for snakes 🐍

This season is looking to be a big one with the warm weather already setting in.

We are currently experiencing cases DAILY for tick paralysis from all areas surrounding Raymond Terrace, Nelson bay, Medowie, Newcastle, Maitland, karuah and Stroud.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check your pets current tick prevention is up-to-date.

Prevention is KEY.
If you would like some more information on prevention that's right for your pet please call the clinic on (02) 4987 1111 and one of our friendly staff can assist you.

We sell single doses of Revolution Plus, NEXGARD/NEXGARD SPECTRA/BRAVECTO for convenience of a growing puppy who require a change in size each month or just for affordability.
