A Country Gem Dog Stays

A small boarding kennel in Renmark SA Boarders are a part of the family and get treats for being good kids. Several other options are available.

A Country Gem is a social kennel with dogs (who are safe with others) often playing, running, exploring, chasing birds and sniffing together. There are 3 24sqm runs with 6ft wire walls and one with a roof for the escapists out there. Dogs can stay for extended periods, for a weekend, for a day play or a few hours. I can collect them from workplaces or homes.

I'm a 2-year-old Ridgeback Cross with a zest for athletics. Heard of the high jump? I am a real contender! But really, if you take the time to bond with me (within 24 hours I'll know), I won't try to run away. I mean it. I want a family who want to spend time with me, who let me stretch my legs with long runs and who let me have use of both the indoor and outdoor areas. I'm really good with a doggy door you know!

When you leave me alone, It's probably best I stay indoors or in a secure run. That way the temptation of a fence isn't there. At least until I know you're here to stay.
At my last foster home, I didn't even try to jump the fence one time, they understood me there. But it's time to find my own family now.

I'm a clever girl. I know some basic obedience and am house trained. I'm not too shabby on a leash but could benefit from continued training.

With regard to sleeping, I want to sleep where you do. Not in your bed, but in your room. I mean, I will sleep in your bed if you really want though.

I'm pretty friendly, I like other dogs. I would like someone who wants to run around with me. Preferably someone a similar size though, those teensy dogs are a bit different. Don't let us share bones though, my treats are sacred, I want them all to myself.

Anywho, enough about me, tell me about yourself. Do you think we could make a good team? I'd really like to try and be best friends!

We have our beautiful boy safe and sound. My husband has just found him in a paddock at Lower Light a farmer reported seeing him to us at 11pm last night and hubby has literally just found him. We are over the moon he is ok and safe 👍🐾❤️👍🐾❤️👍🐾❤️

Dear little Daisy has finally trusted me enough to ask for pats 💜💜💜

Scout having the time of her life!! It was a lot of fun watching her so excited to play with the water. Bear and Lenny had a dip too. Two roofers are here replacing gutters and I didn't think it would be conducive to their efficiency, for them to have 5 large boisterous dogs wanting to be their buddies. The horses have been kicked out of the paddock and dogs have moved in. After Macey, Tilly, Scout, Bear and Lenny chased the ball and/or each other for a good while, the pool was filled. I do love seeing the dogs so happy here.

Building Daisy's confidence

Young Daisy is a rescue and joined her forever family not too long ago. Goodness knows how humans have let her down in the past so it is understandable that she takes a long long time to trust. Walking on a retractable lead allows her to be close for a few seconds and then move out again. Having a positive experience with me and my dogs getting a cuddle allows her to learn from them, that people are positive, despite some being ***holes. Well done to Daisy's family for committing to giving a dog like Daisy a loving family, despite her challenges.
