Littlewood Berry Farm

Littlewood Berry Farm Littlewood Farm is home to the pick-your-own Littlewood Berry Farm, Littlewood Lamb and Jam Gin. Eftpos is available.
(45)

We're located on the road to Richmond in the heart of the Coal River Valley, Tasmania. Littlewood Farm is home to our pick-your-own strawberry patch, Littlewood Lamb and our Jam Gin and Liqueur. The Patch, as we affectionately call it, is a family friendly experience offering strawberry picking, BYO picnic lawns and the 'Pet Paddock' which is where our highland cows, Jimmy and Moo, and a few of ou

r pet sheep live. The patch is also home to the Little Bean Coffee Van, which makes amazing coffee and assorted other tasty treats - the hot chocolate is a must try. Entry to the patch is FREE, but our motto and what we stand by is, 'Pay for what you pick and respect the patch'. This means please don't eat any strawberries while picking and keep to the paths, taking care to avoid standing on the strawberry rows. We provide all punnets and containers but if you want to pick large quantities we have scales so you are more than welcome to bring your own bucket. All our produce is Chemical and Spray free, so we work very hard to make sure our plants stay healthy and happy, just like our customers. Thank you for supporting a small business in the heart of the Coal Valley and we hope you enjoy the experience of picking fresh produce.

I would never give a TV series a platform on my own business page but have you seen Clarksons Farm?
He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the awareness and insight into such a small part of agriculture and challenges we face as farmers, it is great knowing someone with a platform is speaking up.
It may be England, but so much is similar to home with the costs, inputs, love, unpaid time, and instant change to commodity prices as well as red tape....

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/nXkkuWsL6HyojoEv/?mibextid=oFDknk

We just saw a post about Clarkson's Farm helping boost awareness of agricultural life and we had to share our thoughts! 🌾

Jeremy Clarkson's dive into farming isn't just TV goldβ€”it's sparking crucial conversations about agriculture. It's high time we appreciate Clarkson's role in educating city folks on the unseen struggles of farming life.

Here’s how we see Clarkson is making waves:
πŸ‘ Clarkson gives farmers a spotlight, showing off their relentless hard work and dedication in a way that demands attention and respect.
πŸ„ He's educating urban viewers, taking them through a farming journey, revealing the gritty, complex reality of farm life.
πŸ“ The show breaks down the journey our food takes, highlighting how vital farmers are to our everyday lives.
🚜 By showing the tough side of farming, Clarkson is inspiring a newfound respect for the industry.

Clarkson, along with his crew (shoutout to Kaleb!), is bringing the raw realities of farming to a broad audience. It's a mix of education and entertainment that's much needed.

We’re proud to advocate for our agricultural community, but having big names like Jeremy Clarkson on board is both vital and very entertaining! 🌾

Thank you so much, EVERYONE, who came today to support our small business. We had an amazing turnout, a huge amount of support and also a great amount was picked this morning, which helped us close our fields earlier then expected which is fantastic ! (For us)
The weather stayed so perfect and sunny we even got a second pick off, as more fruit ripened throughout the day.
We did have a little lost property aswell, so if you think you are missing anything, please inbox the message.
We hope to have a couple of more open days but we are in mother nature's hands so please keep an eye out for our next 'open day' post. Thank you all again, and I hope all the kiddies have a good week back at school.
**Please remember we are a working farm and cannot always update or be active on social media on open or non open days as we are usually very busy. If you wish to pick or have pre-picked always get there as close to opening as we can never promise that it will be available when you show up in your time.
