Promoting Responsible Dog Ownership with Obedience Training

MRODC has been training dogs and their owners in the Macedon Ranges area since it's inception in 1979. We aim to provide an opportunity for owners to gain a better understanding of their dogs through obedience training and to provide them with the skills necessary to integrate their pet into the family and the wider community. We offer c

lasses from entry-level beginner's classes, suitable for new owners with a young puppy or new dog, continuing right through to the formal discipline of competitive obedience trials. The club also hosts regular events, including fun days, inter-club competitions and obedience trials. Our club rooms are open on training days, and include a well-stocked library containing books on a wide range of dog-related topics including general interest to training and behaviour. We also have a club shop that stocks most dog training requisites such as leads and collars.

What a wonderful day everyone had.
Weather was even on our side and it was a smashing day.
We all had a bit of fun and a select few from each class event took home a ribbon for their stellar efforts on the day.

The Dog Lovers Festival is an important event for MBRC to raise awareness for bulldog rescue, connect with prospective foster and adoption homes, and raise much needed funds to help with the cost of providing the expensive vet care the bulldogs we rescue need.

HELP NEEDED
We are looking for previous and current fosters and adopters to bring their bulldogs along to the event (only those you know would be comfortable in a crowd with other dogs and kids around). As well as volunteers to help at the stand and sell raffle tickets and other MBRC/bulldog related merchandise. Please send us a PM.

Worth resharing as a reminder to take care.

WARNING - SNAKES ABOUT
We have had 5 cases of snake bite in the last few days. Please make sure your backyard is tidy and keep an eye out when walking your dog. If you do see a snake, do not approach and call a snake catcher.
If your pet is bitten or you suspect it may have been - remain calm, keep your pet still and telephone the closest veterinary clinic for assistance.

🐍 Snake Awareness Training

Snake season is well and truely here!

We are running sessions in Ashbourne Vic 3442 with a number of dates available.

Pawfect Manners is educated in ecollar use and accredited under the Victorian Govt. We work with Snake Safe Victoria, a licensed reptile handler who brings all the Victorian venomous snakes, pythons and a blue tongue lizard.
