Bittersweet is our first Monday without Tilly. Tilly and her mum Rosie attended our day schools and made great achievements in their training journey. We loved seeing them work together and the enthusiasm that they both had. Tilly and Rosie have started a new journey travelling around Australia! As much as we will miss them, we look forward to hearing of all their adventures!

James and Koda passed their PDC for PSA last weekend! They’ve put heaps of work into getting there and we are so proud of them 👏🏽

This weekend was a culmination of many things we are thankful for. We are super thankful for our club , all of its members that helped train with us, the amazing dog community here in Queensland, the decoys/judge/admin for the event and especially for everything that he put into making this happen! We are looking forward to the next challenge.

Trial run for our adventure group was a great success! We’re proud of how everyone did and are looking forward to the next one 🏔️

The purpose of our adventure group is to get the dogs that train with us out into the real world, help their owners with handling skills in different environments and to build a community with our Golden K9 members.

Social outings!

Another skill that we work on with dogs here at Golden K9 is slowly working up their social skills so that they can learn to be the best cafe buddies around.

This week Snoopy and Delta both had social outings and did so well!

Millie is joining our day school crew. We are working on building her confidence and neutrality around other dogs. One day in and she’s already a pro at climbing and new surfaces (counter climber, not surfer)

🐾⭐️The buddy system⭐️🐾

Golden K9 is excited to announce the introduction of our buddy system program! We have been working on ideas to create a more cost efficient program for our clients while still providing the same quality service, so behold the buddy system!

If you and a friend are both interested in training - do it together and save! This applies to both our 6 session training program as well as our day schools.

This way we can offer the private sessions to clients in an environment where they can still be comfortable, ask questions, and get that quality time with us the trainers. Offering the buddy system allows us to offer the sessions at a discounted rate while still ensuring that the clients are fully benefiting from our programs and able to tailor them to their individual needs.

The same deal goes for our day school sessions! If you and a friend would like to pair up for a day school day, we can offer a discount as well as facilitate a fun day of learning and play with the two buddies!

This little cutie, Lanah, is the newest member to our day schools! Day schools are a great alternative to doggy day care. Your pup still gets a fun filled, exciting day but in a manageable and less overstimulating environment. We work with your dog one on one to help them in areas that they may be struggling or just to sharpen their existing skills 🐾

Sending your dog to their “place” is similar to sending them to their “crate” however it is a more versatile option. You are able to move their place around to different locations at your convince. It also allows your dog to observe and be included in what is happening without directly interfering. It’s always good to know your “place” in the world 😉🐾

Join Golden K9 for dog day schools!

We run our day schools from Monday-Friday each week. During the day our trainers work one on one with your dogs providing them training, enrichment, play and all the love we can. Day school are a great option for any dog if you want to add a bit of excitement or something new to their day. If interested in any more information feel free to send a message!

Introducing the newest Golden K9 member: Conan!

This handsome boy is being fostered by us until he finds his forever family. He’s a gentle loving giant who is very unaware that he is not puppy sized. We will be working with Conan on his general obedience and over all life skills so that he can show off when the right family comes along. He’s so keen to train and we can’t wait to see what we can accomplish in our time together!
