Senior lady Angel was recently in for her Senior Health Package and vaccinations 😺 Despite her name, she is usually pretty spicy for her visits to the vet and can turn into a tiger! A little bribery goes a long way here, so thanks to some yummy fishy paste she was happy to have her vaccines from Dr Lauren in a more fear-free consult.
More good news was that her blood tests were all clear and showed no signs of disease onset, always a relief for a 15 year old lady to receive! Good job Angel! ☺️

*Dental X-Rays are an important part of a dental assessment as they are the only way to examine the whole tooth. Cats are prone to developing a dental disease called Feline Oral Resorptive Lesions (FORL) when the tooth is slowly resorbed. This is a very painful process, effecting the root of the tooth first before eventually causing lesions above the gum line. Early detection of this disease is essential so the diseased tooth can be removed early in the disease process to prevent the pain of on-going resorption.
The good news for Peanut is that his X-rays were all normal with no sign of FORL 👍
