We aim to be the one stop facility for sheepdog training catering to the needs of City dogs having fun, farmers wanting to get the best out of their working dogs or sheepdog trialers. About Us:

Doongara Working dogs was set up after the need for a Sheepdog training facility where handlers and dogs can be armed with the necessary tools to continually progress and take the next step. We have 30 Acr

es for utilisation from Round Yards for Beginners to Large open paddocks for experienced dog and handlers with full Yard Course, 3 Sheep Trial Course and large 20 Acre Paddock for field cast training (400m). Training working dogs and trailing has also given us contacts both locally and internationally whom we hope to have running specialised workshops at our centre and offered exclusively first to our regular customers. It’s all about you and what you want to achieve with your dog regardless if it’s a little bit of fun in the round yard with your pet dog or using our facility to tune up your trial or farm dog, we want to help you achieve your goals. Also the early socialisation and exposure work Kat had done made Ben just fit in my camp. Believe it or not they send me some shockers that I can’t even get near for a month and expect me to wave the magic wand to transform them into trained dogs in a few months…

Nick and Wilma. They’ve come a long way… in the early days there were times when I’d thought maybe I should tell them to find another hobby however I stopped myself because of Nicks dedication to Wilma.
They are about to move onto property with a few sheep so I’m sure Wilma will be a useful hand to have .

Doongara Ben went home to Kat yesterday. Very happy with the progress this guy made in the short time I had him . He was such a pleasant dog to have in the camp . Should
have kept the little pup born with a love heart on his back 🤔…

Another board and train ready to head home. Came to get started and was a bit of a challenge at the start, She was very sensitive and didn’t handle pressure too well. Going well now and you may see her on the trial ground in the future.

Doongara Ben is out of Trewina Poppy by Eastburn Terry . Belongs to my mate Kat. I’ve got him for a month and will open him out and get him dancing a bit more at the same time consolidate his sides. Lew had a dog called Tungali Rambo and he reminds me a lot of him , quiet forward but with good cover and calm. The breeding is along that line anyway .
