CAA provides care and attention (including veterinary care, shelter and food) to unwanted, stray, neglected and abused animals.

Capricorn Animal Aid Organisation (CAA) is an organisation meeting the needs of abandoned & unwanted dogs & cats in the Rockhampton, Central QLD area for over 20 years CAA does not have a shelter or shop you can visit. All animals are 'fostered' by generous and caring volunteers who provide a home and lots of love to the animals in their care until they find new human companions to share their liv

es with. Potential adopters and their adoptive environments are assessed to ensure the animal will live out its life as a well cared for and loved member of the household.

Meet FOX, a clever and sweet little pup whose bright blue eyes are just as charming as her personality!

She’s already mastered some great skills—sitting politely for her food, using a doggy door, toileting on the grass, and coming when called.

Fox plays well with other dogs her size and loves making new friends. She’s a bit cautious around bigger dogs but still enjoys joining in the fun—retreating if things get too boisterous.

I wrestle play with my siblings and have lots of fun with them. I do also enjoy playing with all the other kittens and cats as I'm sociable. FETA may be a shy kitten, but he is slowly gaining confidence with his humans. He loves to sit on the window sill and observe everything going on around him. Once he is being held and given some gentle pets, he absolutely adores the attention and will purr in contentment. He is also great with other cats and loves to engage in playful zoomies. However, FETA may need a bit of extra love and patience to adjust to his new home. Being young, he will adapt well and is already litter trained. FETA is ready to find his forever family.

☀️ Summer Safety in CQ ☀️ ☀️Cracking a window or parking in the shade do very little ☀️Elderly, overweight & short muzzled dogs are at a greater risk ☀️dogs tied on Ute trays with no shade or water can also suffer & die in 20 minutes

🚨 Summer Safety for your Pets In CQ 🚨 Please never leave your dog unattended in a vehicle. It is against the law and can lead to terrible suffering and death. Temperatures in a car can double within 20 minutes! ☀️Cracking a window or parking in the shade do very little to help ☀️ Elderly, overweight and short muzzled dogs are at a higher risk ☀️A dog tied to a Ute tray with no access to shade and water can suffer terribly and die within 20 minutes ☀️Similarly a dog tied in a yard with no access to shade and water can also suffer and die This behaviour could be an offence under the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001 especially if your pet suffers heat stress or dies.
