Yesterday we were contacted by the pound with regards to this handsome young man aka Odie.

He had been surrendered and needed our help!

A number of reasons were given, none of which matter to us. What does matter is that Odie is sitting in the pound, confused and overwhelmed.

πŸ’” Odie is just a typical goofy Boxer pup, full of energy and love. He’s friendly with other dogs, but the pound is no place for a baby like him.

We need to get him out ASAP.

πŸ’– Meet Sweet NaylaπŸ“Gold Coast, QLD - 3 years

Beautiful Nayla is looking for her forever family. She is incredibly affectionate, loves pats and cuddles, and will happily play tug of war all day if she can.

This clever girl has attended puppy school, knows her basic commands, and is toilet and crate trained. She’s very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding.

Nayla is great with kids, not a jumper, and not an escape artist. She does get a little frightened in strong winds or storms, so needs reassurance to help her feel safe when the weather gets a little scary.

She’s okay with dogs she knows and would love a calm male furry friend to keep her company but no cats for Nayla.

Ideally, Nayla would love a home where someone is around to spend time with her giving her love and attention and include her in their daily life.

This sweet girl is currently living outside in the freezing cold, and we’re desperate to find her a warm and loving forever home.

Shadow is a happy, affectionate girl who absolutely adores her people. She loves a good game of tug-of-war, knows all her basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, shake and is toilet trained.

She’s great with kids (though a bit too bouncy for toddlers), gets along well with other dogs, and is even okay with cats! She walks well on lead but can get a little excitable and pull, so she'll benefit from some continued training.

Shadow would thrive in a rural or semi-rural home, somewhere quiet and peaceful where she can relax and enjoy life. She’d love a friendly male dog to play with - meet and greet required, of course.

Remember Lexi? We now have another heartbreaking case – meet Possum

πŸ“ Location: Hunter region, NSW

Possum is just a 10-month-old baby who’s already been through so much.

Seized by Police, severely underweight, and having already had a litter, she arrived at only 12 kg – painfully emaciated.

She’s now safe, slowly gaining weight, and her puppies are doing well. They’ll enter the shelter’s adoption program when the time is right.

Now it’s Possum’s turn to heal.

We’re urgently looking for a loving, calm foster home to help her rebuild trust and strength. Ideally, this person would also be open to adopting her later – so she doesn’t have to face another move. That would be the most gentle path for this fragile girl.

Due to her past trauma, we are seeking a quiet household without other pets or small children. Caged birds are fine. She’s timid but incredibly sweet, and with time and care, she will blossom.

🐾 RYLIE NEEDS A HOME 🐾

This is a heartbreaking rehome for his owner, who is battling a serious medical condition and can no longer give Rylie the life he deserves.

Rylie is just the perfect boy! A sweet, affectionate, loving, happy boy who just wants to be part of a family. He loves people especially kids but is best suited to a home with children 6+ due to his enthusiasm.

He is toilet trained and travels well in the car. Rylie is a foodie at heart and is very eager to please. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, drop, and paw. On walks, he does pull a little at first from excitement but settles quickly with continued training, he’ll be even better.

Rylie is well socialised, great with other dogs, and is a total charmer at the dog park greeting the humans first before playing with their pups! He has the cutest habit of backing up and sitting on your foot for a scratch, and he’s always up for a game of tug of war, chasing the hose, or playing ball.

He’s not a digger or escape artist.

Bodhi’s owner suffered a traumatic brain injury and can no longer safely manage an energetic young dog. His family is heartbroken to let him go as Bodhi is deeply loved!

Bodhi is a beautiful, affectionate, high-energy boy who thrives on attention and loves being close to his humans. He’s a typical young Boxer - bouncy, playful, and always up for cuddles! He is living outside & would love to be inside close to his people!

He loves people and is fantastic with kids just a bit too excitable for toddlers. Bodhi knows basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down, and has also had some professional training.

Bodhi loves chasing balls, playing with toys and sticks, and is happiest when he’s in the water - swimming is one of his favourite things!

βœ… Toilet trained
βœ… Great in the car

Bodhi walks fairly well on a lead but still pulls a little so he’ll benefit from consistent training and structure.

He can be reactive when out and about, so he needs to be the ONLY DOG for now – sorry, no cats either!

🐾 Mavis Update 🐾

We were in the middle of reviewing applications and reaching out to potential foster carers when Mavis's owner advised us, she will be rehoming Mavis privately. We're happy to share that Mavis is going to a loving home!
