We were in the middle of reviewing applications and reaching out to potential foster carers when Mavis's owner advised us, she will be rehoming Mavis privately. We're happy to share that Mavis is going to a loving home!

We received this call... Can you help urgently?
Diesel came to us as an 8 month old boy with a fractured leg. His owner could not afford a 2nd surgery after the first surgery was botched, and they opted for euthanasia. In a monumental effort we managed to find a foster carer within a few hours and had organised orthopedic surgery for his leg. Diesel had a titanium plate inserted and our foster carer was facing the hard task of keeping an 8 month old Boxer quiet!
Long story short, this gorgeous boy has made a full recovery and been adopted.

Boris is a natural bobtail. He is full of playful energy and has all the quirky Boxer traits that make him so loveable.

He is great with kids, but his bouncy nature means he could unintentionally knock over little ones.

Larry is an incredibly loving sweet boy who URGENTLY needs a new home. Larry currently lives with two fur buddies but due to a drastic change in his owner's living situation, Larry is now an outside dog and is being left alone for long periods.

His owners are heartbroken, so no NEGATIVE comments please.

Larry has that classic boxer energy and the cutest bum wiggles! He is happiest when he's by your side, soaking up all the love and attention he can get!

He’s a playful boy who loves a good game of chase or wrestle with his fur friends, chasing after a ball or frisbee.

When it’s time to relax, Larry enjoys lounging in the sun and is the best cuddle buddy.

Larry gets along well with other dogs. He adores kids, though his excitement can sometimes lead to a bit of accidental bumping with little ones. He shows the same excitement when meeting new people.

On walks, Larry can be a bit enthusiastic, pulling on the lead, so some extra training and guidance would benefit him.

Overall, Larry is a sweet-natured boy who, with a bit of extra training, will thrive in a home with a FEMALE furry friend (pending a successful meet & greet) – sorry no cats!

Leo and Harley are both 9 years old, they have spent their whole life together. They are good with dogs, even live with a cat (which they will chase given the chance) and they love kids.

They are housetrained and have never tried to escape.

They need someone who will give them the time and attention they need. Because of the change of circumstances their owner suddenly must work long hours, and they are barking when left alone, now the council stepped in. For this reason, they need to be moved ASAP.

There has been a development overnight. Iris is staying with her family and is no longer looking for her new forever home ~ a huge, huge thank you to all that offered to open their hearts and home to this pretty girl❀️❀️

🐾 Age: 7 months 🐾 Gender: Female 🐾 Location: Geelong area, VIC

Introducing Iris, a typical 7 month old puppy with boundless energy who is in need of training.

Iris currently lives with her sister, and they show typical littermate syndrome, which results in competitive behaviour (please look it up if you are unfamiliar).

She is great with kids, though she’s still learning about her own strength and enthusiasm, which sometimes means she can accidentally knock over little ones. She loves bouncing on the trampoline, dabbling in some primitive gardening, and, of course, enjoys cuddles and tummy rubs.

A few important things to note:
🐱 Iris does NOT get along with cats, so a cat-free home is a must.
🐢 She hasn't been introduced to other dogs yet, so any introductions should be slow and patient.

We are still looking for the perfect home for baby Diesel!

Queenslanders! Remember this boy?
Yes, it is Diesel! The now 11 months old boy who had a fractured leg and needed surgery.
Thanks to our wonderful foster carers he made a full recovery and is now looking for his forever home.

Current location: QLD / Sunshine Coast

Since Diesel could not socialise with other dogs during his recovery we are initially looking for a home with no other dogs and someone committed to socialise him gradually. Currently he is too overstimulated by other dogs, with proper training he will come good, we are sure.

Diesel loves robust kids, well he is a boisterous boxer.

To summarize:

* Diesel needs a pet free home and someone willing to put the work in and help him socialise with other dogs.

* Diesel definitely needs a large yard to stretch these long legs and be silly.

* Diesel needs kids, but be aware, he is a bouncy boy and has no idea about his size.

* Diesel needs an active owner, he needs regular exercise to keep his muscles strong

🚨 URGENT APPEAL: Help Needed at BRNA! 🚨

Dear BRNA Community,

We're reaching out to you today, our incredible community because we need your help more than ever. We are facing a situation that needs immediate attention.

As many of you are aware, these are tough times. The cost of living continues to rise, and we're in the midst of a housing crisis that's affecting countless individuals and families. Sadly, these challenging circumstances have resulted in a sharp increase in the number of surrenders we're receiving. In fact, it's more than we've ever experienced before.

But here's where it gets even tougher: despite our best efforts, we're seeing very few applications coming in. And it's not just usβ€”other rescues are grappling with the same struggle.

This means that we're now facing the heart-breaking reality of struggling to find placements for even the most appealing dogs in our care.

What is also particularly challenging is that many dogs aren't socialised with other dogs and need to be the only one in the household. However, they are fantastic with families! And most of them are in dire need of homes.

In the past, a young, non-socialised boxer would have garnered dozens of applications within hours.

We understand the preference for socially adept dogs, but we urge you to consider opening your heart and home to a pup who may not be as comfortable around other dogs. There are strategies to manage this aspect, such as adjusting walking schedules, avoiding dog parks, and exploring new routes. The bond you form with such a dog is incredibly fulfilling and built on unconditional love.

Furthermore, we have the following dogs eagerly awaiting their forever homes.

🐾 Nala (f/3yrs), Roxy (f/8yrs) & Layla (f/3.5yrs) all located in Victoria.
They are incredibly affectionate girls, not challenging to care for, but they struggle with socialisation. These lovely pups have been in foster care for more than 4 months.

🐾 Evie aka Sophie - (f/5mths) located Newcastle Area, NSW.
Boxer x Catahoula pup saved from the Pound. Evie has all the traits of a 5-month-old boxer puppy, full of energy, cheeky, master toy destroyer, affectionate and generally loves life!! She would benefit from being with another dog to do boxer zoomies to blow off steam.

🐾 Cosmo, a vibrant 1 year and 9 month old boy also located in VIC.
Cosmo has an impressive social demeanour and has been impeccably trained, and yes, he's all ears – no deafness here… also eagerly awaiting his forever home!

🐾 Cody (m/2y) and Trixie (f/2y) location: QLD / Logan area.
Cody, white boxer, an ex-BRNA boy and Trixie, a pretty American Bulldog girl. As a bonded pair, Cody and Trixie have a strong connection and CANNOT be separated. Both dogs are highly affectionate and thrive on human contact and cuddles, which makes them even more lovable companions.

🐾 Tyson (m/3yrs 9 months) location: Greater Sydney, NSW.
Tyson is a bundle of energy with a playful demeanour. His gentle nature endears him to everyone he meets. Tyson is looking for a loving home with kids aged 10 and up and maybe even a chilled-out female furry friend.

🐾 Juney (f/4.5y) Location: Campbelltown area, NSW.
Juney is a sweet and affectionate companion who thrives on cuddles and companionship. She enjoys leisurely walks, sniffing trees and loves chasing after balls. Juney does have her reservations around other furry friends, preferring the company of humans only. A home with older Kids aged 10+ would be ideal for her.
