Woof! I just wanna give the Rockhampton Regional Council Parks crew who look after Duthie Park a big lick up the side of the face.
Me and my off leash park friends at Duthie Park appreciate all the hard work and obvious pride taken in keeping the park looking so good, and fun to run around and play!
We hope our friendly Councillors for our area will pass on our gratitude. We know it must be hard keeping up with all the park maintenance in the “green” season.

💣 explode 🧨 like magnified gunfire in the exquisitely sensitive ears of all creatures.

🐝Bees become so disoriented they don't go back to their hives

🦅Birds have panic attacks at night, causing mass deaths

🦇Wild animals raising babies abandon their dens in fear

🐢Fish & other animals perish after ingesting firework debris

🐶Companion animals have anxiety & panic attacks

👤Humans have PTSD

Tell your local authorities and event organisers we don’t need or want these senseless and outdated displays of celebrations.

No to fireworks

As the ringing in of the New Year approaches in a few hours I want to use this time to bring forward my thoughts about the senseless noise and air pollution of fireworks.

It shouldn’t be about securing your pets to make sure they don’t escape during these unwanted displays of noise, light and chemicals.
What about the wildlife? What about livestock? What about humans with sensory issues or PTSD? It’s not just about pets cowering and terrified in their own homes, the place we are supposed to feel safe.

There are so many reasons and so many alternatives, I truly don’t understand why this expensive and devastatingly damaging tradition continues in populations of ever increasing environmentally conscious humans.

Please be proactive in your community to let event organisers know we don’t need to scare wildlife, pets and livestock into oblivion. We don’t need to fill the air with chemicals and smoke.
Bring back the tradition of ringing the community bell and new technology of laser light and drone shows.

Please SAY NO TO FIREWORKS!
