Today the Cob and Co family woke with broken hearts, the somber reality that some things just aren’t meant to be no matter how much you love or want them. Flower passed away late yesterday taking with her a foal we will never meet. So loved and cherished, flower was the sweetest mare. Her unborn foal so longed for especially having lost Sq**rt a little over a year ago. No words, just tears 😔 🌺

The Best Horses in Heaven, They Have No Tail

The best horses in Heaven
they have no tail.
This is a rule they all know
without fail.
For when a new horse arrives
with a short cut bob,
they all know that this horse
did a very good job.

Her owner could not bear
to part with her friend
so she saved her tail,
wrapped in ribbons
and in braids,
to hold with her memory
in a very loving way.

To enter Heaven
without a tail
is an honor,
a message,
that without fail
announces to everyone,
far and wide
that this horse
was more than a wonderful ride.

But
this horse was loved and cherished by one
and when her time serving on this Earth was done
She left behind
a broken heart
and a soul
from which she never will part.

After two years of careful management, Minstrel's arthritis is no match for his talent - a day out of retirement for the boy and a day of dressage ahead, with Alyssa onboard, the crowd were fixated.

For all that know Mini and I they know his health and wellbeing trumps any event but today he was ready 🥰, so proud.

March is a special month for us as it marks Alyssa's anniversary with Cob and Co. The last five years have been an emotional rollercoaster - from hilarious buggy mishaps to heartwarming moments with new arrivals, sorrowful goodbyes, and baffling equestrian antics that still linger in our minds. Thank you for being part of our team, you are truly a gifted horse woman.

Naming foals can always be a challenge, at least for me. But this year was easy, Kings son had the honour of carrying both his sire and dams name, Kings daughter has the honour of his French connections with the inclusion of madam but her true honour came from carrying my beautiful mums middle name as her own, this year marking 21 years since she passed.
