Farrier visit today, and my problem child of course got her regular application of SeedyNO! from my farriers well used pot!
The ground here on the mid north coast is still very damp and my farrier has said he is seeing a lot of seedy toe.

Here at Boston Park Equine, I’m a true believer in keeping things natural, both for our horses and for ourselves.

From July 1st I will be making some big changes and will no longer be suppling rope equipment. All current orders will be completed and then I will only offer what’s in stock and won’t be doing custom orders.

Instead I will be growing my product range to include some awesome natural products for humans as well.
This will include lotion bars, natural pain relief ointment and much more.

We will also look at growing our other pet ranges.

In time there may also be a name change, and new website, but that will take some time.

Wilmont Equestrian and Boston Park Equine would like to announce our newest sponsored rider Sui Watts.

Sui is a Virtus rider (for riders with an intellectual disability) and last year represented Australia in France at the World Virtus Global Games winning GOLD in both the individual and teams!!!

Sui is an extremely dedicated rider, and very successful competitor. She has just been selected to represent Australia at the 2024 Virtus Open European Dressage Championships in England!! Which will be in July.
Sui rides under the classification of II2 which is for equestrians that mostly have Down syndrome.

We are very excited to welcome Sui to both the Wilmont Equestrian and Boston Park Equine team!!!

Does your horse suffer from seasonal stable crud (also known as cannon bone crud), mud fever, greasy heal or even rain scald?

Not only is Repel and Repair excellent for itchy ponies it also works fabulously to help these skin issues as well in a short amount of time.

Day 1 - apply a good layer of repel and repair to the scabs, rubbing it well through the hair so it goes into the skin.
Day 2 - with a stiff brush (or your fingers) remove what softened scabs you can. Reapply the Repel and Repair again rubbing well into the remaining scabs.
Day 3 - again remove any scabs with a stiff brush hopefully all of them are now gone. Wash the horse with a gentle shampoo out Squeaky Clean with Aloe Vera and Tea Tree is perfect.

If rainscald or greasy heal where the skin may still be quite irritated and sore, wait for the hair to dry after washing a apply a light cover of Repel and Repair to help with healing and hair regrowth.

Are your horses struggling with hoof issues due to the wet weather?

Mine are 😩. This is Melody, Mel is a 17 year old TB and she has always struggled with hoof issues due to thin soles, and thin walls added to an old injury making her wear unevenly on all 4 feet.

She had her regular trim today, with remedial front shoes and unfortunately still has seedy toe present.

Not to worry, Des uses all our products on his clients horses (not just mine), and Mel was treated with Seedy NO! in any newly cut holes and Hoof Protect over the entire hoof to help protect against excess moisture.

ATTENTION PLEASE!!

We have been extremely busy the last 3 weeks with probably 5 times our normal orders, we are working as hard as we can to get everything out to you asap, however there is some process time as all our products are hand made including our fabulous Repel & Repair.

Also, unfortunately this week my wonderful Aus Post office made a little error and scanned some parcels as received and not lodged, so if your parcel says it was delivered at Telegraph Point, dont stress it hasn’t been missent, and the scanning will update at the next stop on its way to you.

Meet Paris.

Paris lives west of Kempsey, and as you can see in the before photo was very itchy and had rubbed her mane and tail a significant amount. She was not a happy pony.

This is what Paris’ owner Sonja has to say

Meet Diesel….. Dee doesn’t look like most of our customers but we don’t discriminate here 💜

Dee’s mum came home from a day in town to find Dee limping with a nasty cut to the joint on his “fetlock” (or what ever you call it on a dog 😂) it of course was very late on a Friday evening and I said don’t stress, I can’t help. Dee and his mum came over to my place and although the wound looked nice and clean he had obviously been licking it for some time. I applied a nice clump of BPE Healing Balm, cotton dressing, vet wrap and elastoplas. The first bandage change was done at 3 days and it looked great so the same treatment was repeated, after that bandage changes went to 5 days.

Just before Christmas, and after about 3 weeks of bandaging and Healing balm it was healed enough to take the bandage off and poor Dee had to wear a cone of shame to stop him from licking it. Healing balm was used for another week in smaller amounts just to make sure that last bit of healing happened without a problem. And as you can see now, it’s fully healed, he is not lame and just has a small scar.

BPE Healing Balm is a must have for the tack room, doggy first aid kit, or even your own first aid kit!!
