I reckon that is a wrap on bull testing season… Whilst Vegas will miss cleaning the dirty, field record sheets 🤣, I think we processed the last of our regular bulls for annual testing this morning. It was an early start to beat the heat.
I believe more bulls were tested this year than any year I have been at MVS (since 2012). Whilst the spread of joining has become later or widened for some over the years (we’ll let you decide who does it best), we are pleased to report more people are opting for morphology testing in addition to the all too common just crush side semen and physical exams. Morphology results have had far less wait times too this year overall.
Here‘s to the breeding season albeit for some it‘s well started 💃 🌧️🤞goodluck!

We are looking for a mixed practice vet to join our team. Our ideal candidate would be a recent or an experienced vet, although new grads are welcome to apply. Locums are also welcomed. Our varied caseload is both interesting and rewarding, so if you like calvings, preg checking, small animal surgeries, medical cases or equine work it’s likely we have got you covered. Our region is welcoming with loads of things to do and see and Roma was recently awarded Qld’s top tourism town 2024.
