🎄CHRISTMAS MEMO🎄

As we enter the last few weeks before the big day I have a few requests to help through this hectic time -

⭐ Please make sure there is adequate parking infront of your house with access to power and water. If there are cars blocking where I should be, please move them leading up to the appointment time.

⭐ Please understand that although I try to be super flexible, if your dog was booked in for a wash and not a haircut I may not be able to change the service last minute. However, if I am able I will always aim to do the desired service.

⭐Please notify me if you need to cancel as soon as you can. With such high demand for these appointments I could open these up to others hoping for an appointment.

⭐Kindness and understanding are always appreciated. ❤️

I've spent the last day tidying my diary in the lead up to Christmas! I have between now and Christmas I only have a handful of appointments available. They are:

Wednesday November 27 - 1 morning
Tuesday December 3 - 1 morning
Monday December 9 - full day remaining
Thursday December 12 - afternoon appointments available

If you require an appointment please plan ahead, once these are gone there will not be any further days opened.

Please to finally announce that my days for next year have been confirmed - next year's operating hours will be:

Monday : CLOSED
Tuesday : 8:30-4:30
Wednesday : 10:00-4:30
Thursday : 8:30-4:30
Friday : 8:30-4:30
Saturday : CLOSED
Sunday : CLOSED

I am now beginning the task of rescheduling all customers on a reoccurring booking. If your current day no longer suits you, please let me know. I'll begin messaging everyone with your 2025 bookings and we can edit them from there.

This holiday season I will be working in between Christmas and New Years, however I will be having a fortnight off later in the month to spend time with my family.

Once everyones bookings have been secured I will assess and open appointments for new clients.

🎄Christmas is coming! 🎄

Where has the year gone? With only three months until Christmas December is already 95% booked. Please plan ahead if you plan on going away and need your best friend pampered before hand. The fortnight before the holiday is super busy and any extra notice given on cancellations is VERY appreciated so I can fit someone else in.

Please note I am not currently taking 2025 bookings - I am awaiting daycare day confirmation and will be working through existing reoccurring bookings first. 🥰

📣Let's talk aggression!📣

Due to recent events, I feel it’s time to touch base with everyone about the importance of transparency between owners and groomers (or anyone your dog comes into contact with) regarding aggressive behaviors.

Please, if your dog is known to snap or bite, let your groomer know. By sharing this information, we can take precautions to safely groom your animal or advise you on a better option for your pet.

As a groomer, I will ALWAYS inform a customer if their dog displays aggressive behavior. I do this not to shame you as an owner, but to provide you with the knowledge to take precautions in the future.

‼️And most importantly‼️—let's be clear: size does not define aggression; behaviors do. Little dogs can be just as aggressive as big dogs. It's time to realize that these behaviors aren't "naughty" behaviors; they are, in fact, aggressive behaviors.

A little bite may not be as damaging, but it can still lead to hospital visits, time off work, and jobs lost.

Moving forward I want to be very clear - if I feel at ANY stage of the groom that it is unsafe to proceed, I have the right to stop and return the dog to you. Although this job comes with the risk of dog biting - I have the right to feel safe and will not be putting my body on the line. There are other options out there for grooming that will be safer for myself and your dog.

Thank you for taking the time to read, I would also love if we could share this to reach as many people as possible. It may save another groomer from experiencing this.

Sometimes I even pamper dogs that aren't Oodles 😅🥰

I certainly gravitate towards oodles, I love pushing myself to learn new skills and try to master the cute teddy clips... But sometimes just sometimes, I get to pamper other breeds who absolutely steal my heart 💕

Have I mentioned I love being back? I was given the opportunity to have Bella in my trailer for her first ever groom - She was an absolute dream! I have very high hopes she will adjust to grooming well since her parents booked her in at a great young age. Isn't she adorable 🥹

-Update! -
This is taking longer then I anticipated - I will carry on with rebooking tomorrow evening. I have everyone who has been cancelled on a list to contact with alternate appointment times. Be in touch soon!

‼️I AM BACK‼️

It has been a LONG four weeks - But I have FINALLY gotten clearance to return to work (I do have to wear some pretty fabulous goggles though 🥽). I will be starting off slowly as to not risk over doing it and I will also have a driver with me - huge thanks to my Dad for this!

I am spending the afternoon going through bookings and will be in touch confirming your next appointments. Please reach out later on tonight if you haven't heard from me or are unsure when your next booking is.

Just another update--

The ophthalmology team tells me I'm at the stage of it being a bit like watching grass grow while my eye heals up. Which is an ironic thing to say to someone who can't actually SEE the grass grow 🤔

Things I can do is let you all know that I will be off until at LEAST my next appointment on Thursday. If you are unable to wait a few weeks for me to fit everyone back in - please reach out to other groomers. We have some fabulous groomers around us and they are all being amazing at helping me out. Please don't feel like you are being disloyal to me - I completely understand and in all honesty am at a bit of a loss as to how I will get everyone back in and or when I will actually be back.

If you do not want to go elsewhere that is fine too - just remember slicker brush and combs are what will get you through this!

The moment I return I'll be sure to post it here. I cannot wait to be back pampering your best friends. 🐩

Eye update!

Hi all,
I still have no return date set - my eye IS improving, but it's SLOW and still not at a level where I could drive or handle scissors with moving dogs ✂️.
I'm doing everything in my power to get this sorted, but ophthalmology team at the JHH have said it will take some time.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their support over this awful time - anyone whose been a customer for a while knows I am not one to take sick days. I genuinely miss all my doggie clients and can't wait to be back behind the tools 💕
Also a huge thank you to all the groomers around who have stepped up and taken on some of my clients while I've been away - it's so wonderful having a community of groomers around to help eachother out. Forever thankful!

Just a friendly reminder of the policies I have here at Dash DogWash Rutherford! If you would all just take a moment to have a refresher of them it would be greatly appreciated!

❌CANCELLATION Policy ❌-
Any appointment cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time will be charged a 50% cancellation fee via square invoice. Once this invoice is paid I will be able to rebook you. Clients with outstanding invoices will no longer be rescheduled.

When making an appointment with me I schedule 1+ hours out of my diary to provide you a service and am turning other potential clients away. Please place your appointments in your Calender just as you would for any other appointment you make.

💵PAYMENT💵-
Payment must be made via cash or card at the time of the appointment unless already organised by myself. If you require an invoice please let me know and I will invoice you PRIOR to your appointment to ensure payment is made. I do not enjoy chasing people for payments so this is no longer an option.

All of you are pretty amazing and I am blessed with some of the best clients in the Hunter - but just a quick note that abuse of any sort will not be tolerated. I respect you all and ask for the same. If you do not like my policies that is fine, there are many other fabulous service providers out there for you.
