Southern Black Simmentals (SBS) was established in 2013 with the initial acquisition of cows and calves sourced from Wendouree Simmentals at Crookwell and New Horizon Simmentals at Cowra. In 2017 the Buckingham herd was acquired to boost breeder numbers and ad genetic diversity. The SBS herd is managed under strict commercial conditions with females needing to be fertile, structurally sound and ea
