AGM voting 24th August 2024
Hi members,
This Saturday, in-person voting will be run in Hut B from 3:15pm until shortly before the AGM begins at 4:15pm. As per our club processes, each financial member who wants to vote will receive a voting paper with the bios of all the candidates to read to make an informed decision.
Our AGM will run first, followed by a quick tea break and then into the general meeting with elections for further volunteer roles and agenda items. The committee looks forward to seeing lots of you there to find out more about how the club works and participate in decision making.

8. The President to assume the chair to welcome any incoming, and thank any outgoing committee members.

9. The President calls for nominations for Patrons.

10. The President calls for the appointment of an auditor.

11. The President calls for the appointment of a Public Officer.

12. The President calls for the appointment of a Returning Officer.

13. The AGM 2024 is declared closed.

This Saturday, the membership desk will be open from 2:15pm for new members. Please don’t bring your dog to the desk but get a friend or family member to hold them. It’s best to come early so that you are not late for class.

How to join:

(1) Click on our website [https://www.nsdogtraining.org.au/membership/ and complete the registration form. If you do this by 8pm tonight, your badge will be ready tomorrow.

(2) Pay online by credit card or bank transfer or join the queue to pay by credit card or cash on the day.

(3) Email a copy of your payment receipt and dog’s vaccination certificate to [email protected], or bring a copy of your receipt and vac certificate to the desk.

Members who have paid online and emailed their receipt and vaccination certificate to us will move through the queue faster than those who pay on the day

Committee Nominations Update:
Dear Members,
Nominations for committee positions for 2024-2025 have now closed. All positions have received at least one nomination which is fabulous for the club. Positions which received one nomination will need to be approved during the AGM. Where there are multiple nominations for a position, the nominees have been asked to write a bio about how their qualifications, experience, aims and ideals can be of value to the club. These will be collated and posted on the website later this week for all members to read. Along with this information will also be a postal voting form available for members who are unable to attend the AGM on August 24th.

Please know if you choose to train your dog on the grounds when classes have been cancelled, as per our Face book and website posts, you do so at your own risk. You will not be covered by NSDTC Insurance.

Also note that NSDTC Instructors are identified by their green and white shirts with the word INSTRUCTOR printed on the back. They also wear a red and white badge with their name and the word instructor engraved on it.

The Club has been made aware of a survey being handed out to members. Whilst this survey is titled Northern Suburbs Dog Training Club, please be informed that it is not endorsed by the club and the author currently has no official capacity at the club. It should be understood by respondees that the information obtained in the survey will not be shared with the current committee, is not subject to club privacy rules and may be used for personal gain. Please think carefully before providing information and contact details to an ordinary member. The author has been asked to remove Northern Suburbs Dog Training Club as the survey title and make it clear that the survey is for her personal use only. We encourage any ordinary members with questions about the club to come and ask them at a general meeting. Our next general meeting is at 4:15pm on Saturday July 20th.

No Advanced Triallers or Anise Scent Work Classes on Saturday 1st June. Your instructors will be trialling at Hills.
There WILL be beginners classes at 4.00PM.

Due to unprecedented numbers of trialling instructors being absent for various reasons and the rainy conditions it has been decided to cancel all 1.30 classes. However there will be instructors available for the 3 pm classes for those who wish to brave the wet conditions with their dogs. It’s the “people’s choice”🐾🐕
