🎈Happy 13th birthday to our oldest (but also most handsome😉) daycare munchkin Archie!!! 🥳🎁🎈🐶🐾

🎈Archie is still a big Romeo, he loves a cuddle with the girls, all things daycare related and he loves coming every Tuesday with his sister Daph. Archie may be 13 but don’t let his age fool you, Archie is super active and involved at daycare, he loves pottering outside with his mates, sunbaking, watching Meg groom the dogs, meeting new dogs with his sister and barking at us to open the gate if we’re too slow for his liking, he also enjoys a bath or groom himself. Thanks to his mum for bringing some treat to share! He is an absolute sweetie pie and we adore him very much.

Wishing a wonderful happy 3rd birthday to our darling girls Maggie & Bella!

The 2 have been attended seperatly as puppies, starting the same week as each other and having birthdays only days apart! Now the girls come on the same days and love to play. 😎 🥰😍
We love having the girls at daycare, and watching them grow and change every year!
Maggie and Bella both adore the little dogs and love a good hoon with there best mates in the big yard. Maggie loves her dear corgi friend Nugget and Bella adores her boyfriend Leo ❤️
The girls both love wet days at daycare, and hanging in the shell pools in the warmer weather, running around with plastic bottles instead of our really nice toys and cuddles with the staff members.
Thank you to Bella & Maggie’s mum’s for supplying yummy party snacks! 👯‍♀️💐💗😘🎂🎉🎈🎁

Last month we were given the very unfortunate news that one of our very treasured daycare friends had passed way unexpectedly. The team have been absolutely shattered by the news and things certainly aren’t the same without our friend Alfie by our side…A long term member of Balanced Paws, Alfie the Labrador first stepped his paws in our door with his lovely parents Judith and Kevin at the end of 2021. Alfie was only a puppy, and ready to start his very first puppy school classes. Once graduated his parents decided to enrol him in daycare to keep up his very evident social skills. Alfie quickly became a valued member of Balanced Paws. Passing his intro session with flying colours, Alfie was confident, great with people, and fantastic at making other doggy friends, we knew pretty quickly he was going to be a great fit. In Alfie’s first week of daycare he happened to meet Elsie, starting her first week with us and the exact same age the 2 became fast friends! They did everything together including hogging anything water related, sharing toys, play growling and running around like crazy with a tennis ball in mouth, Alfie and Els developed a life long friendship that even saw there families having play dates for the 2 over coffee. Most of you will know of Alfie at daycare, he is a big part of our intro session meets for first time clients, he adores puppies and loves a big cuddle with his human friend Tanika. Alfie loved to play with everyone, and thanks to his parents Alfie was also amazingly patient with people, including respecting boundaries and space, being a great company if you ever felt unwell or needed a pick me up or just needed a friend to keep you company, Alfie was always ready to help, a big smoocher as his mum liked to say, and we so agree! Alfie attended our Tuesday & Friday sessions for almost 3 years, but all dogs knew Alfie as he would often stop in to do extra days. Whilst Alfie absolutely loved all, A few of Alfie’s best mates over the years to mention were, Santi the Labradoodle, Rufus the Rotti, JD the kelpie x, Astro the GSP, Nala border collie x, his black lab friends Winnie, Ivy, Daisy, Norman, Bella, and Molly. Jimmy, The kelpie puppies, Tyson the staffy, Percy golden, Archie golden x, Archie German sheppard, and many many more we are sure. Alfie was a very gentle soul, who we adored. As well as a big part of Balanced Paws, Alfie was a big reason Tanika would look foward to work when suffering from her chronic illness’s. The 2 started daycare just weeks apart and have grown up together enjoying plenty of antics and stirring up the boss lady Meg at daycare. Spending the last few weeks going through all of Alfie’s wonderful memories at daycare has been really hard, but through doing so we are thankful that we have been able to reflect and be reminded that we get to do this job and come to work everyday with all your amazing dogs and the precious memories we get to keep even when it’s time for them to cross the rainbow bridge. We really do love your dogs like our own, we thank Alfie’s mum for giving us our weekly cheeky banter in the mornings, and making us laugh even when it’s hard to. We wish Alfie’s family all of the best, and look forward to the day they get to meet again, in the meantime we have created a video to celebrate Alfie’s adventures with us. Even if we only got a little bit of time with Alfie, we will always treasure the memories we have made.

We are delighted to have Mr Nugget back on deck, we and the dogs have missed him soooo much! So far he has been in the pool, catching up with Ted, Bessie and Maggie and barking at his enemy….the blow dryer. 😂🍑💙🐕🐾

As this time of year rolls around we start to farewell some of our clients and there dogs as they move on to new adventures..
This week we wish a VERY BIG happy birthday to our dear friend Poppy and her last birthday with us as her family embarks on a new adventure. 💕🎉🐾🥳

Poppy has been a regular part of our daycare twice a week for many years. We absolutely love having her apart of our little family and so do the dogs, and we enjoy our little chats with her mum!
Poppy is the life of the party, she is a true Aussie to the core…LOUD, BUBBLY, FUN and full of CONFIDENCE AND SASS! Preferring to great Ollie’s mum Jacqui..rather then her own mum at pick up, avoiding Meg at all costs when it comes to grooming day, having first dibs of tennis balls and tug of war ropes, using Ollie as her personal seat when she’s tired from playing…and insisting that every treat is hers..these really do sound terrible but we absolutely adore her enthusiasm for life! 😅😂 and whilst we are absolutely devastated she is leaving, her dear husband Ollie has agreed to do a long distance relationship and FaceTime Poppy weekly to keep her updated on her friends..we’ve promised Poppy we’ll keep him in line.

We truly adore you pop star, and we wish you and your lovely family all the best on your new adventure. We will all miss you so very much and we thank you for the fabulous memories you have left us with. We truly treasure your time here at balanced paws.

Happy 2nd birthday to our darling Santi!!! 🐶😍💙
Another lap around the sun and what a joy it’s been having Santi apart of our crew!
Santi is a fantastic asset to us, he is great with all dogs big and small, absolutely loves the staff and goes crazy for a ball game! Santi is very polite and well mannered, he loves meeting puppies and new dogs, he has a fantastic re direct style and is a great mentor for all our dogs. He is totally awesome and we love his visits. Santi is a big goofball, he loves nothing more then zoomies with his best mates Alfie, Walnut, Nala, Bella, Poppy, Daisy and Bruno to name a few! When our day goes into relax mode you’ll find Santi laying by the grooming window watching the girls bath or groom dogs. He loves a cuddle with staff and is a big sweetie pie. We know you have had an awesome week celebrating with all your friends! 🎉🎂🥳🎈🎊🎁
