It’s that time of year again…

Breeding season has well and truly begun. We have lots of birds who are currently sitting on eggs, and we’ve had good successes with hatchlings too.

Our currently available hand raised baby birds are:
10 Indian Ringnecks
4 Blue
3 Multicoloured
2 Yellow
1 White
3 Alexandrians
1 Pinapple Conure
1 Malabar

As well as these, we have 3 Hahns Macaws who have recently hatched that will be available soon.

If you are curious about adopting any one of these adorable baby birds then please get in touch.

We are also in the process of rehabilitating some rescue birds we have received, so stay tuned to see how they’re progressing.

The breeding season is now in full force. If you have ever considered getting a hand-raised baby bird, then now is the time.

We have already sold a White Indian Ringneck, Blue Indian Ringneck and a Pineapple Conure.

We currently have available a Silver Indian Ringneck, a Violet Indian Ringneck and a Grey Indian Ringneck ready to be adopted.

Soon in a week’s time, there will be 3 Alexandrians available.

Following them will be 4 more Alexandrians and 3 Malabars.

These will be shortly followed by 2 Eclectuses and 2 Moustache Parrots.

Do you know the difference between a sexually monomorphic bird vs a sexually dimorphic bird?

Sexual monomorphism means that you can’t tell the difference between different sexes without looking at their reproductive organs. Whereas, with sexual dimorphism you can tell them apart, typically through their appearance, vocals or length.

Although, you may see differences between sexually monomorphic birds, these are typically individual characteristics that can be due to things such as diet and environmental factors.

Welcome to all of the new faces that have liked our page recently! It is so nice to have you here, and you have joined just in time for the breeding season to start again!

Now would be a perfect time for you to start thinking about a possible feathered addition to your family. We will be adding some new birds to the mix this year, so keep an eye out for them.

We are also in the process of redesigning our website and will be adding a fun facts/tips and tricks segment here on Facebook.

Since our last update, we have had a few baby birds that we have hand raised and have been successfully integrated into their new family’s; all the way from various Indian Ringnecks to Alexandrians to Hahns Macaws. However, we do still have a couple of young ones that are looking for their forever homes. One of which is a beautiful Alexandrian, and the other a cute and cuddly Eclectus.

With the holidays coming up right around the corner, we thought that we will give you an update on our current breeding program of which is well and truly underway. Our hope is that this gives you time to start thinking about what hand raised baby bird would be perfect for you and your family.

Indian Ringnecks
- Talkative, interactive and a little bit mischievous.
- We have one ready now and more every two weeks from here to Christmas.

Alexandrians
- Good size bird and refered to as the poor mans Macaw
- Intelligent, talkative and like to be involved in whatever you are doing
- Two ready in four weeks and three ready for Christmas.

Malabars
- Active, love to be around people and very talkative
- Two ready to go in two weeks.

Plumbheads
- Smallest of the Asiatics but a fun little parrot.
- Happy to sit in a cage or just as happy to sit on your shoulder.
- Great parrot for kids to learn responsibility.
- Three available in two weeks.

Pineapple Conures
- Happy to be involved in whatever you are doing.
- Talk a little but interact well.
- Ready in six weeks

Moustache Parrots
- Talkative, quite and interactive.
- One of the smaller Asiatics but one of the cuter ones.
- Ready for Christmas

If you have ever thought about adding a hand raised baby bird to your family, then now is the time to start actually considering it so you have enough time to be able to make the right decision.

We have some baby birds that we are currently in the process of hand raising that might be of interest to you, including:
3 x Blue Indian Ringnecks,
2 x Blue/Grey Indian Ringnecks, and
1 x White Indian Ringneck.

We also have baby birds who have just hatched, including:
3 x Alexandrians, and
2 x Malabars.

There are also many birds that are currently sitting on eggs, with some that have never actually laid before, so are not guaranteed to produce hatchlings. Here are the number and types of eggs:
6 x Alexandrian eggs,
3 x Derbyan/Violet Indian Ringneck eggs,
2 x Blue Indian Ringneck eggs,
3 x Multicoloured Ringneck eggs,
3 x Pastel Indian Ringneck eggs,
3 x Yellow Indian Ringneck eggs,
4 x Malabar eggs,
1 x Moustache Parrot egg,
5 x Pineapple Conure eggs, and
5 x Plumbhead eggs.

The breeding season has well and truly started now!

We have 3 Blue/Grey Indian Ringneck babies and 2 Pineapple Conure babies which have just hatched. We also have many birds sitting on eggs, including: Alexandrians, Malabars, and Blue and White Indian Ringnecks.

Hopefully, we will start seeing more of these eggs hatch within the next couple of weeks.

Thank you to everyone who was able to give all of our hand raised baby Pineapple Conures a new home and a loving family!

For those of you that missed out, there are two baby Pineapple Conures which just hatched and should be available in approx 4-6 weeks. There is also activity happening amongst some of our other birds, however there have been no other hatchlings as of yet.

We will be sure to keep you posted with any further updates as they happen!

Good news! Our hand raised baby Pineapple Conures are now available! In fact, we have already pre-sold one of them, which leaves two of them that are currently available. Additionally, we also have some Pineapple Conure eggs which are due to hatch soon.

The time has come where the breeding season has officially begun for this year! Currently, we have some hand raised baby Pineapple Conures that will be ready to go into their new family very soon.
