Our Story
My wife and I both grew up in rural areas on small properties in the Mackay region, we met each other in 1994 fell in love and got married in 1995, my wife was 19 and I was 21, we both worked hard, saved our money and built our first house in the small suburb of Walkerston in 2005. We were happy with our little piece of land in suburbia until our baby girl was born in 2011. Watching the neighbours kids play in the streets didn’t sit well with us and we wanted better lifestyle and surroundings to raise our little girl. We searched for around 12 months before we found a small acreage that suited our needs, enough room for a horse for my wife, a pony for our princess and a big shed for me to tinker in and store the equipment that’s needed for maintaining a small acreage.
We soon realized that the tools and equipment that we had from our smaller piece of land wasn’t suitable for a larger acreage, we spent a lot of money upgrading our tools and equipment and found that is was hard to find good quality reliable equipment that was in a serviceable condition when you need it the most, after replacing some of our equipment multiple times I decided to go looking for better equipment that I could import myself, after a lot of searching, travelling to different countries, purchasing samples and testing them myself we finally found some factories that made good quality products that would last in our environment and still be in great condition for years to come.
We have worked hard to keep our business located in a rural area that is central to North and Central Queensland so the profits from our business stays in the rural community and not swallowed up by a major city.
We have our own tow vehicle and a large flat bead gooseneck trailer so we can do our own transport and logistics to keep the prices down for our valued customers, we are also in the process of purchasing a larger property and building our own warehouse to store our stock.
