***VANTAGE HILL IS HIRING***

Our established Thoroughbred Breaking In, Pre Training and Spelling facility in Scone NSW has various positions vacant for 2023.

We are looking for an experienced person to help manage the day to day operations.
This involves:
- feeding and checking horses
- unloading/loading trucks
- washing and preparing horses for departure
- treatments (IV and IM, bandaging).

There are also stablehand positions available, normal stable duties: - feeding and mucking out on a daily basis
- washing off
- holding for farrier and vets.

A riding position is available as well, must have solid thoroughbred or equestrian riding experience.
Limited shared accommodation available on farm.

A Head Stablehand is required for a full time position at our breaking in and pre training facility - Vantage Hill, Scone NSW.
You will be required to organise the day to day runnings of the stables including feeding, mucking out, washing off horses, departures and arrivals, vets and farriers and general grooming of the horses.
Whilst being in charge of a team of stablehands/ground staff you will also be a part of that team and perform all duties.
Looking for someone who has had experience in the thoroughbred industry, is hard working and ORGANISED!
Accommodation is available to the right applicant and a salary will be based on experience.

Only applicants with substantial knowledge of young horses/thoroughbreds will be considered, you MUST have experience.
The duties include feeding up (must be able to drive a manual), mucking out stables, leading young colts and fillies to and from trucks, stables, and wash bays for washing off. Grooming is also required - pulling manes, shampooing horses and rugging.

Hi All this is a very exciting announcement for Bates Saddles I have been riding in Bates saddles for the last 20 years, Nikki has been riding in the Bates saddles for the last 25 years (because she is older than me!!). Our son Charlie is as passionate about the Equestrian sports as we are and he too is lucky enough to ride and compete in the Bates saddles.
We are so proud that both British Eventing and the USEA know what we have known for the last two decades and have appreciated the right choice for horse comfort and performance. We wish to congratulate the entire Bates Saddles family as it is a massive feather on their cap!

Vantage Hill is a professional Breaking In and Pre Training facility in the heart of The Horse Capital Scone NSW. Only 5 minutes from town with accommodation available on farm. We are looking for a fresh new team ready to start in the New Year on January 4th. We have approximately 4 positions available to help with the feeding up, mucking out, washing horses, treating horses, holding for the farrier and vets. We are able to sign off on all working holiday visas and have a manual car available for shopping if backpackers do not have their own.
Horse experience is a MUST. Please also send through references.
