I have pets which I know were registered directly at council by the current owners and have come back to being under my name.

Did you know that in New South Wales, the process of registering your Dachshund with your local council has changed? As of July 1st, 2024, all pet owners in NSW will need to use the Service NSW app to create a pet registry account before bringing home their furry friend.
If you're buying a puppy, to get a head start, create your pet registry account through the Service NSW app as soon as possible. Once your account is set up, send the email details to your breeder that matches your service NSW. This will streamline the process of officially registering your pup when you bring them home.
Registering your Dachshund is crucial to ensure proper identification and safe return if they ever get lost. It also supports local council services that benefit pet owners in the community. The breeder cannot see any of your private information on your Service NSW app. Don't delay - set up your pet registry account today!

She recently underwent all her 18-24 month old health checks, and we are thrilled to announce that Tara has received a PERFECT backscore result! 🌟 Her cardiac, patella, and eyes all checked out within the normal range. 🩺📜

We finished up today at the Armidale and Uralla Dog Show with enough points to apply for Jade's (Ch. Aashudna Magic N Mayham*) Australian title. 🏆🇦🇺
Jade is the third sibling from our Maggie (Aashudna Maggie May) and Harry (Ch. Dawnwood Muscari) ‘Magic’ litter, joining the ranks of her litter siblings Romeo (Ch. Aashudna Magic Moments) and Millie (Ch. Aashudna Magic Millions @ Buttdonn).🐾🏆

We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Edweina and Tara have both achieved remarkable accomplishments as Australian Champions. We are eagerly awaiting Dogs NSW approval, but we couldn't be prouder of their achievements so far.
Eddie, or should I say Edweina, holds such a special place in our hearts. She is my beautiful smooth shaded red girl now known as Ch. Aashudna Love Is An Illusion. Her sister is the absolutely stunning Ch. Aashudna Royal Isabella Delite from our dam, Aashudna Noble Norah. Her sire is none other than Patricia Thomas' Elton - Ch. Cogglyn Rocketman, adding to her pedigree's grandeur.
I am truly appreciative of Andrew McMaster, who bred my cherished girl Tara, also known as Ch. Dachchimac Tantrums N Tiaras. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to own such a stunning and special mini long dachshund.

Welcome to Aashudna Miniature Dachshunds - Let us introduce ourselves!
We are a small ANKC kennel registered with Dogs NSW striving for excellence in quality, type and temperament. We have deep affiliations with other ANKC registered kennel’s within Australia with the key objective being to preserve the best bloodlines & temperaments while also focusing our efforts on ‘colour’ being the Chocolate and Tan Miniature Dachshund. We are members and a standing committee member of the Dachshund Club of NSW Inc.
Since the very beginning, our love for the Dachshund was strong, with their unmistaken beauty and fierce love for life. Our dogs bring much joy and enrichment to both mine and my husband’s lives – which is what first prompted us of becoming a registered breeder with Dogs NSW in 2011. Becoming a breeder was not something we took light-hearted after acquiring our chocolate and tan male miniature dachshund BenG from Acovagem, a rural NSW breeder in Grenfell.
Owning a number of miniature dachshunds ourselves, our extended family all view them as our ‘FUR-KIDS’ with each and every FUR-KID having their own profile page on our website so feel free to browse and view each of them to see some pictures and a little bit of information about each one. All our FUR-KIDS sleep inside our home at night with a separate doggy door access to the rear yard, in addition to this we have altered our home to help cater towards their needs which includes air conditioning for those hot summer days and underfloor heating for those chilly winter days. Our FUR-KIDS are never kennelled or garaged, they are free to roam the family home when we are home and have been well-trained to NOT enter off-limit areas.
Health issues in miniature dachshunds are of top priority and importance within our kennel. Our miniature dachshunds are screened and TESTED for genetic diseases which are offered by our chosen genetic services provider and prior to them being used in our breeding program or OFFERED for stud. We have also recently incorporated IVDD backscoring into our selection process. You can view our results which are freely available to view on the National Dachshunds Council Website.

My husband and I are actively involved in the Dachshund Club of NSW inc. This allows us to be in regular contact with like minded breeders and allows access to some of the best stud males in Australia.
