Enjoy some throwback footage of Babylon Berlin, who added further black type to her name with a second π₯ in today's Gr3 Counties Bowl.
Having her final race start before the Gr1 Sistema Railway on New Year's Day, with the top weight of 59kg, the tough mare was run down in the concluding stages to finish just 0.8L second, giving the winner 6kg. π
Babylon Berlin (All Too Hard x You Can't Say That) has an envious record of 26 starts for eight wins and 13 placings and we're all hoping she can add a Group 1 to her tally in the New Year! π€π»

β¨On this day in 2003: ANAMATO was foaled at Willow Park.β¨
The first Group 1 winner born at Willow Park after the farm was purchased by Glenn two years earlier, Anamato was from the third crop of Arrowfield Stud's Redoute's Choice. π She won the 2007 Group 1 Australasian Oaks at Morphettville, plus a further three stakes races. She was also placed nine times at stakes level, including placings in the Gr1 Hollywood Oaks, Gr1 VRC Oaks and Gr1 Yalumba (Caulfield) Stakes.
Best known these days as a star broodmare, Anamato's breeding career began in the Northern Hemisphere for Godolphin, yeilding two winners, highlighted by Listed winner Anamba (Shamardal). Returning to Aussie shores, the third foal Anamato produced here was the superstar nine-time Gr1 winner Anamoe (π₯).
An incredible family, a number of Anamato's relations have also called Willow Park home over the years. They include her half-sister Eldarin (Marauding), who produced Willow Park's second ever million-dollar yearling (13 lots after the first!) in 2005 - the ill-fated Gr3 winner Mearas, who was also from the third crop of the immortal Redoute's Choice.
Isn't she sweet? π₯°
Seen here taking her first steps last night is a gorgeous filly by Gr2 Todman Stakes winner Aylmerton (Siyouni), out of four-time stakes winner Soneva (USA).
