Sweet Ghost 👻 was all too happy to come in and collect his raffle prize from our Christmas markets !!

We are super pleased to announce that we managed to raise $871 from our raffle ticket sales, bake sale and silent auction on the day. A big thank you also to K9 Bath & Groom who donated the money raised from dog washes on the day too.

The money raised has been shared between Greyhound Adoptions WA, Staffy and Bully Breed Rescue Inc., BARRC and Perth Chihuahua Rescue Inc.. A BIG thank you to our community for supporting these groups and for all the wonderful work they do 👏

Whilst we as humans love celebrating a New Year, celebrations can be daunting for our pets. Especially when they hear loud fireworks.

Here’s some tips to help keep your pet safe this New Years Eve.

🎆 Keep all pets securely indoors. Give them a safe space to hide away if they wish (ie; under the bed or cats may prefer high spaces in cupboards).
Some animals like pet birds may benefit from having their enclosures covered with a large sheet.
🎆 Play quiet background noise. Leaving the TV or radio on may help to lessen the impact of loud bangs.
🎆 Using pet specific pheromones such as Adaptil for dogs or Feliway for Cats can assist calming. Some dogs may also benefit from using products like ThunderShirts or ThunderCaps.
🎆 In the unfortunate circumstance that your pet escapes make sure they are wearing their collars with ID tags attached ahead of time. Also ensure their microchips are up to date with the relevant contact details.
🎆 Some pets benefit from the use of prescription medicine to facilitate calming. Call us today to enquire.
