HORSE CLIPPING 2025 - Some of my organised clients are already booking their March/April dates and my diary is open! I’m only taking existing clients at this stage and booking Friday - Sunday for horses (dogs are Monday to Thursday). I’m happy to work after hours early/late but great lighting is essential. If you’ve got an indoor area with good lights, this is possible. Due to the limited time available over the clipping season go get everyone through, a cancellation policy does apply and please remember that horses need to be washed and dry for clipping. It’s still summer, but I promise winter is coming!

Who’s off to for the Baroque Horse Festival? Yozzy has just had his summer haircut to prepare for his performance. We did his usual body clip with full face off, blended legs, mane and tail and a bridle path to help everything sit neatly. As always, Yozzy was perfect. He LOVES a clip… sometimes to the point of being, annoying trying to sit on me or eat my clippers 😂 11/10 good boy.

Some DF plaits. Big thanks to my sister for doing a supply dash to while I was at work. With the hot and wet weather we had coming today, I had to make sure we had the right products for all seasons and it’s been so busy lately that I’ve been using some things faster than I can remember to replace them.

Extreme makeover: griffon edition. Hand stripping a blown coat and taking the beard short to even up some home trimming. I actually love the short beard to match the rest of his tidy look.

I can’t tell you how many times I combed this mane down for a photo only for the wind to immediately blow it around again. This is the best after photo the weather would allow! First mane tidy for this boy to soften the difference between natural and what is growing back from being rubbed out.

It’s still just me, Alex. Well me and Finley the dog, but I finally got around to adding a name that represents what I’m actually about. I’ve changed over my IG name and I’ll try to get the rest sorted but I’m easily distracted so be patient with me. Hopefully it doesn’t take me too long!

Amayzing Grooming Show 2024 at the Royal Melbourne Show. I’ve finally had some sleep and I can focus for long enough to write something! What a crazy experience. I knew two dogs would be a bit too ambitious but hey, why not! Two classes, two judges, four chances. First up was Sally the springer in the spaniel class. She earned us two 2nd place ribbons. Then it was Wombi the griffon in hand strip for a 2nd and a 1st! We are so lucky to have such generous owners that let us borrow their pups for these competitions. A special mention to my best helper Thanks to my coworkers and congratulations on your own beautiful grooms at the show, and of course the biggest thank you to the class sponsors and
